Chapter 25 : Say Something

The weather was moody. It was about to rain. The sun was nowhere to be seen. Covered by the dark clouds. The young man was staring blankly to the air. He was not focusing to anything because he was thinking about his fate. He felt empty inside. He felt there was no reason to be happy.

He was sitting alone at a cement bench. Waiting for someone. " Hey.. Still thinking about him ?" Zed suddenly appeared beside him while Zed was patting his back to comfort him. Aaron snapped out of the deep thoughts. " Ah, Zed ! No, I'm not .. I'm just thinking about how to go back to my apartment with this weather," Aaron tried to change the subject of the conversation.

After the break up, Aaron found a place for him to rent since he couldn't move back in the campus because the hostel in campus was full with new students. He had no choice but to rent a small apartment to stay in. " Aow, you can come with Tommy and I, " Zed offered a ride to his friend. " No.. I don't want to burden you guys. My apartment is  nearby. I don't need a ride," Aaron rejected the offer.

" Babe, Let's go.." Tommy suddenly came from behind Zed. " Eh, Aaron ? Why don't you join us ? You are going back right ?" Tommy noticed Aaron was sitting on the bench and offered the ride. " Yeah, Just come with us. We don't even know where is you new apartment. At least by sending you back, we can know where you live," Zed insisted the dancer.

Aaron didn't have any choice but to follow the couple. " Okay then.. " Aaron said slowly. Zed and Tommy knew that he was still thinking about the break up but they didn't have the guts to talk about the issue with Aaron since it was only 3 weeks after the break up. As they walked towards the car, Aaron looked down to the ground along the way and that made Zed worried about him.

Tommy was holding Zed's hand as they walked side by side. Tommy noticed Zed's worried face. He  squeezed Zed's hand softly. Zed looked at Tommy and Tommy was giving the 'comfort him' look while pointing at Aaron using his lip. Zed understood the telepathic message and nodded. Tommy released Zed's hand. Zed put his arm on Aaron's shoulder.

" Cheer up man.. I know it's hard but you once told me to have the courage to find the love within yourself if you feel that you have lost yourself," Zed used a piece of advice that Aaron once gave to him. Aaron felt like Zed really comforted him as a good friend. His words made Aaron felt better. Aaron cracked a weak smile. " There you go.. If you ever feel down, you can always talk to Tommy and me," Zed was truly care for his friend.

Aaron gave him a lot of advice when he was feeling at the lowest point of life and now it was his turn to do the favor back to Aaron. " That's right, Aaron. We will always be here for you," Tommy interrupted. Tommy wouldn't let his former crush down. Aaron looked at both men in front of him and smiled. " Thanks yea. I appreciate it, " Aaron thanked the couple.

Then, they continued to walk to Tommy's car. Tommy unlocked the car's doors and got into the car while Zed also got in the car. Aaron was about to get into the car when he saw someone. Eugene was walking with a group of friends at the opposite building. He was looking so happy as if he moved on that fast. Aaron kept on staring to the drummer while Zed was puzzled why didn't Aaron get into the car yet.

Zed opened the door a little and said, " Aaron ? What are you doing ? Come in !". Aaron was startled by Zed and proceeded to get into the car. Then, Tommy reversed the car to get out from the parking spot. Aaron was still staring at the drummer. He was a bit surprised to see the drummer was moving on pretty fast. " Am I that bad that he moved on quickly ?" Aaron thought to himself. He thought that he was a bad partner that Eugene could moved on easily.

-At the same time-

" Eugene, You look a bit off for the past few weeks. Are you okay ?" a close friend of Eugene had to ask, Simon. " Nah , I'm good. I'm just tired with the assignments. I've been staying all night to complete them," Eugene replied. He didn't tell anyone about his breakup. He just kept it to himself.
