" Alright , that's all for today, class. See you guys tomorrow," said a lady loud and clear. Aaron was writing down his notes but the lady closed the lecture slides. " Dr. Wendy !! I haven't finish my notes ! Can you open the slides for a while ?" Aaron exclaimed and begged his lecturer. " Hey ! This slide is available in your E-Academic website. Didn't you open the website ?" Dr. Wendy was ready to leave the class with her lecture materials in her hands.
" Oh yea... I forgot.. Sorry Dr. , Hehehe," Aaron grinned to his lecturer while scratched his head. The lecturer shook her head 3 times and smiled. " Please study well for your Test next week , okay ? " the lecturer advised. " Alright, Dr. " Aaron nodded slowly. The lecturer turned around and exited the class. All of the students left the class and it was only Aaron and Zed left in the class. Aaron kept his materials in his bag. Zed, who was sitting next to Aaron , was still in his deep thought.
He didn't look like usual. He would always talk a lot but today he seemed to be very quiet than usual. " Zed, let's go and take our lunch," Aaron said to his best friend as he felt his stomach was empty and need food to restore the energy for the rest of the day. Zed didn't responded. He stared outside of the window. Something was absolutely disturbing his mind. Aaron looked at Zed's face.
" Zed ? Are you okay ? " Aaron put his hand on Zed's shoulder. He was concerned about his best friend. Zed snapped out of his deep thought. " What did you say ?" Zed tried to sound like he had nothing to concern about. " I asked are you okay ?" Aaron repeated his question. Zed's eyes were shaking. He held his breaths as he tried not to cry.
Suddenly, he broke down in front of Aaron. Tears were flowing down his cheeks. Aaron was shocked by the sudden tears. " Oh no.. What's wrong Zed ? You can tell me about it," Aaron asked softly. He tried to not offend his best friend. Zed was still sobbing while shaking his head. " He cheated on me !" Zed cried out. " I love him so much. I gave him everything ! but he chose to cheat on me !" Zed continued and sobbed harder.
Aaron felt bad for his best friend. He knew how hurt it is to be cheated on. He remembered the time he was crying because of Max. He understood how hard it is to accept the fact that the person he loved so much betrayed the love they built together. " Let it out, Zed.. I may not understand fully but it's hurting you isn't it ?" Aaron tried to comfort Zed. Zed nodded while his tears were still flowing down. " It hurts so bad.. So bad.. " Zed hit his chest with his fist as he said the words.
" Now that you have broken pieces, you have to slowly pick the pieces and rebuild yourself. If you can't find the love around you, try to find within yourself because if you can't love yourself enough, how can you expect other people to love you?" Aaron advised Zed. He suggested the way he recovered from his past. " Zed, you only lost one single person in your life but you have plenty more who are much more important than that asshole. You have your parents, your siblings, your friends, and the most importantly, you have yourself," Aaron continued to comfort Zed.
Zed took a deep breath to calm himself. He wiped his tears. He stopped crying. He felt so much better with Aaron's encouraging words. Aaron smiled to his friend. " So you are done with crying , now let's go for lunch. I'm hungry, " Aaron said. Then, they walked out of class to the hallway. When they walked to the cafe direction, they bumped into Tommy.
" Hey Aaron ! Hey Zed !" Tommy greeted with a pleasant smile. " Hey ! Want to go for lunch together ?" Aaron invited Tommy. They are friends now. They are so much comfortable with each other better than before. Zed just kept quiet as he didn't want Tommy to know he was crying. " Yeah sure, " Tommy agreed. They walked to the cafe and ordered their food.
" The aunty gave me plenty of chicken today. Wuhuu !" Aaron exclaimed excitedly. His favourite food has extra chicken. " Aow, but she gave me this much only. Give me some more !" Tommy tried to steal Aaron's chicken piece but Aaron was quick to stop Tommy. " If you want, you have to buy this almost everyday and be nice to the aunty, " Aaron sneered. Aaron and Tommy laughed but not Zed. He kept on playing with his food with the spoon and fork.
