The next day..
It was very hard for everyone, not being able to actually do anything. Besides wait for that call, pray for the best, and to be there for one another. Austin had left earlier to the airport to pick up Zion's family. Edwin waited for Luna's parents to fly in. Brandon and Nick did their best to comfort Zion in anyway that they could. Zion had felt as if his heart had been ripped out. There was no doubt that his friends and family knew he still loved Luna. Everyone thought they would definitely had gotten married. While the three boys sat in complete silence, Edwin had met up with Luna's parents. He always wanted to see them again but under better conditions. "Edwin, come here" Sarah said opening her arms. "Ma I'm so sorry. I should've protected her. I told you both I would" Edwin cried into Luna's mom arms. She rubbed his back and calmed him down. "You did protect her" she said to him. Edwin release Sarah from his grip and hugged Paul. The three didn't know what to say, so they walked to the Uber in silence. Each of them praying Luna was okay. Hoping they would get a call from Luna. Sarah and Paul had locked hands with each other, giving themselves slight comfort. Paul had always been the closest parent with Luna, they were inseparable when she was still living with them. So as you could imagine how much pain this brought him. "How is Caleb?" Sarah asked Edwin, breaking the silence. Edwin cleared his throat, "he's a complete wreck. Hasn't slept or eaten since we found out." He answered. Sarah sighed sadly as Paul scoffed. "Paul, honey this isn't the time nor place to get angry with the boy. This is for Luna, to find out baby" Sarah said to angry father. She gave his hand a light squeeze. Paul released the breath he was holding. "I still don't forgive him for hurting my little girl. He's lucky I didn't fly down with Mike when Luna called crying." He replied. Sarah sighed and looked out the window. "How is Mike doing?" Edwin asked Paul. "He's doing great, he came back from Benghazi." He answered. "That's cool, he still doing contracting work?" Edwin asked. Paul nodded his head, "yeah he is. I was going to do some contracting work with him but Sarah and Luna said no" he replied. Edwin laughed a bit, of course Luna wouldn't want her dad to go back to military so doing contracting work would automatically be a no.
On the other hand, Austin had picked up the Kuwonu's and pulled up to the driveway. Mandy didn't waist no time to get off the car and rush inside. She knew how this could be affecting Caleb. Austin helped the siblings take their bags off the car. "How is my brother?" Keke asked, Austin looked over at her and gave her a sad smile. "He's not taking this well" he answered. She nodded her head and followed him to the house. "Caleb?" Mandy spoke, Zion's head shot up and he notice his mom standing in front of him. "Mom" he said standing up. He ran to his mom and she held him. The dread head had began to sob to his mom. They hadn't seen the boy cry this hard before. It caught them off guard. "We're back" Edwin announced as he walked through the door with Luna's parents following behind him. They seen how bad this affected Zion, which only made Smiths want to cry. Everyone in the house were hurting. All of them hoping for the best. Mandy let her son go when she noticed Sarah and Paul. "Oh Sarah" Mandy said walking over to Sarah. Sarah dropped her bag and hugged Mandy. This was the first time Sarah had cried. Paul placed his large hand on the back of his wife. Zion walked over to Paul, without hesitation Paul brought him into a hug. "I'm sorry, I should've.." Zion started out which Paul cut him off. "Caleb, stop. This isn't your fault. It's no one's fault" he said. When the family exchanged hugs, they all sat down in the living room as the two Mothers began to fix up lunch for everyone.
