Kyra's POV

It was hours after we were hit until we got rescued. Luna was breathing but she wasn't waking up. All I could do was hold onto her and keep from drowning. I never let her go and she never let me go. I shouldn't drove faster and maybe this wouldn't have happened. All those people, oh god there was families on that beach. When we got to the hospital, she was taken to get tested. And I had to get examined, just some cuts and stitches were needed. "How do you know the girl you came in with?" My doctor asked. I looked up at her, "she's one of my best friends. We're both models, is she going to be okay?" I asked glancing from her and the where they took Luna. "I don't know, I can get an update but for now. Do you need to let any family members know you're okay?" She asked, I couldn't speak so I nodded my head. "Okay, I usually don't do this but you can use my phone" she said handing me a phone. I smiled and grabbed it. I quickly called my dad, he must be freaking out. We talked and he made sure that I was okay. "Yes dad, I'm okay" I was cut off by doctors and nurses running towards Luna's room. "She's coding!" I heard. I ran towards her room, seeing her lifeless body. "Dad, I have to go!" I said hanging up the phone. "Miss, you can't go back there" a nurse held me back. "She's bleeding internally!" One doctor said. After that was blurry, they rushed her out of the room and possibly to the O.R. Oh god please be okay. "You're friends condition doesn't look so good. But we're gonna do everything that we can" the doctor said to me. I nodded my head and he ran towards them. I was escorted to the waiting room, that's when I called Brennen and made sure he told Edwin or Zion. "Hey, I brought you coffee" a young girl said sitting next to me. I smiled at her and held the coffee. "Thank you" I said to her. "Are you okay?" She asked, I looked down and shook my head no. "What's wrong?" She asked. I wiped a tear "my best friend is in surgery and I don't if she's going to be okay" I answered. She pulled me in for a hug. "Don't worry, she'll be fine. Just think positive things and pray." She replied. I nodded my head. "What's your name?" I asked her, trying to calm myself. "Ona and yours?" She asked, I smiled, "that's a beautiful name, I'm Kyra" I answered. She stayed by my side that night, her father grew very sick and so they were here when the tsunami hit. She had given me a jacket since I was only in my bathing suit and the hospital gown. We kept each other company. I had my hands up to my face, in almost a thinking position. I felt Ona nudge me and I looked up. It was one of Luna's doctors. I instantly stood up, "she's stable and out of surgery. But there was some complications with the follow up procedure. It seems that Luna had fallen into a coma. We aren't exactly sure for how long" she said. I didn't want to believe it, Luna can't be in a coma. "t Thank you" I replied. She nodded her head, "she's in room 328" she said before walking away. "Say positive things to her, it will help her. Encourage her in a way." Ona said pulling me for a hug. I smiled and hugged her back. I thanked Ona before making my way to Luna's room. On my way there, I began to pray.
