the night before...

After Zion had left Luna's house, he went straight to Myas place. Hoping she wasn't the one who had sent those nasty messages to Luna. He praised Mya, not only because she is carrying his child but because she helped him. He had few tears fall from his eyes. Hoping and praying it wasn't Mya. He didn't care how far her apartment was. He just needed to get the answers to his questions. "She couldn't have sent those right?" He asked himself over and over again. He soon found himself inside the elevator in Myas apartment building. He watched as the numbers got closer to her floor. I swear if she did this, I won't ever forgive her. Not again. He thought to himself. Soon he was faced with her front door. He took a dee breath and closed his eyes. Trying his best to keep his composure.
*knock, knock...*
"Z, baby, I wasn't expecting you tonight" Mya cooed as she opened her door for him to walk in. He walked in, not once saying a word. When Mya gave her attention to him, she noticed how quiet he was. She knew something was wrong, he has never acted this way before. "Did you send those texts to Luna? Was that you?" Zion asked, his voice sounding hopeless. Mya looked away, avoiding eye contact with him. She walked to the kitchen, Zion trailed behind her. "Well was it?" He asked once again. Mya took a deep breath, "yes" she mumbled. Zion's head shot up, he felt hurt, betrayed and overall embarrassed. He trusted her but was hurt again. "Why?" He asked, the hurt was clear in his voice. Mya turned around and seen Zion's face for the first time. "I was insecure. Jealous. It's clear as hell that she will always be picked over everyone. Luna has your heart and you have hers. I will never win against her. I'm sorry Zion" Mya said walking over to him. When she tried to grab his hand, he stepped back. "We are through. You and I, are over. Don't call or text me unless it has something to do with my child. Other than that, leave me alone Mya" Zion said walking to the door. "Zion don't do this" Mya pleaded, she had tears in her eyes. Zion opened the door and looked back one last time. And just like that, he had left. Thoughts were running through this head, making him grow frustrated. "Fuck this shit" Zion said walking into the elevator.

.....

Luna and Ollie were now boarding the plane. Her friends had dropped them off and said their goodbyes. It was time that she'd be on her way to her new life. A new and fresh beginning. "Ollie, you ready?" Luna asked her best friend. He sat next to her on the plane, the ride wasn't going to be long. Luna looked around those who sat near her. People ranging from different ages and race. "Here's to new beginnings" Luna said to herself. She listened to the flight attendant who began to talk. She didn't care for it so she looked out the window. Watching the plane go down the runway. This was it, it was her time to do things differently. To do right by her mistakes.
