Zion's POV
Luna was talking to her parents when she got back from all the tests the docs ran. I held her hand and ran my thumb across hers. I made myself comfortable on the bed and fell asleep. I heard some sniffling so I slowly woke up and seen Luna wipe away tears. "Why you crying?" I asked her, she looked away from me. "I'm not crying" she whispered. "Luna I've known you for a long time. What's wrong?" I asked her again. After a few minutes of silence she looked at me. "Started to remember more of what happened that day. The burning sensation I felt in my lungs as water began to fill it. I was struggling underwater for god knows how long while holding onto Kyra. I thought I was going die" she said crying a bit more. I stood up and laid next to her. She watched me do this with a confused look that was pretty funny. "Come here" I whispered to her. She cuddled next to me and I carefully wrapped my arms around her. "Shhh I'm here now baby" I said to her. I kissed the top of her head, "let it all out baby, I'm here" I whispered. When those words left my mouth, I heard her little muffled sobs. "All those people...I could've" she started but I cut her off. "Nah don't blame yourself. These things happen all the time. You did what you could. You can't save everyone Luna, you're not super girl" I said softly to her. I heard her laugh a bit, "all that matters is that you're alive." I said to her. She didn't realize it but her pinky held onto mine. Something she use to do whenever we were in public, when she was nervous or anxious. I smiled to myself, hoping this wouldn't be the end of us completely. "Luna?" I waited for her to respond and when she did, she looked up at me. "I-I uh I still love you. I don't think that type of love goes away." I watched as she stared at me. I wouldn't doubt if she didn't feel the same. After everything I did to her and what I let Mya do. I watched as she bit her lower lip and her brows furrow. "I still love you too. But I need time. I mean after everything that happened between us, yo- you understand right?" She said looking up at me. I gave her soft smile, "I understand Luna." I kissed her forehead as she snuggled more into me. "Long game?" She said to me, it made me think of the time we had binged watched girl meets world. Somehow she had always got me to watch the most childish or romantic movies and shows. We would always say that whenever I would leave for tour or one of use left to our hometowns. "Long game" I replied to her. She laid her head back down and we laid in silence. Taking in each other's presence. Eventually Luna fell asleep holding onto my hand. I watched her sleep, admiring her features. Not in some creepy way though. A few times, a nurse would come in to check her vitals. I didn't want to move because I was afraid of waking her up. So I finally let myself relax and let my eyes close. Letting the sleep take over me.
