Times seemed to have changed as Kimi ran and ran, his heartbeat skyrocketing. Everything was clear and as bright as day as his strong feet carried his energized body through the hallways.

I hope he doesn't catch me. I freaking hope that he doesn't find me! Kimi thought as he rounded a corner. Not yet!

He mistakenly bumped into someone, almost falling back; luckily, he was held back by caring hands. Kimi looked up and came eye-to-eye with pale blue eyes.

"Be careful Kimi. I didn't even see you coming," Orpheus muttered as he unwrapped his arms from around Kimi. He raised a brow. "Or actually smell you."

Kimi waved his hand. "It's a new type of... something from my sister. It hides scents." His eyes dropped to the bag that Orpheus had thrown over his shoulders. "Going somewhere?"

"Oh." Orpheus held its strap. "Duan invited Raja to his house for a sleepover. So Raja invited Rin. Rin invited Homer, and Homer packed both of our stuffs in the same bag. So"—he shrugged a shoulder—"I'm going."

"Oh, okay." He ran past him. "Tell Duan that I said hello."

"I will."

Kimi increased the speed at which he ran as he moved through the hallway. He quirked a brow as he spotted his mother walking past, a book in her hand.

Kara lifted a brow as he zoomed past her. "Which ghost is pursuing you?"

"Aurum."

She hummed and said, "be careful okay?" She continued walking but stopped when he answered with a "Yes Mum!" This made her freeze. Her hand flew to her chest and a few tears came to her eyes. This was how she had always been feeling whenever he calls her with endearment.

Kimi ran past everyone and went straight to one of the many rooms in the building that led to the roof. Kimi climbed out of its windows and hurried onto the roof that was lighted by just the stars and moon. He carefully rushed to a corner and hid in the shadows. Kimi crouched and hugged his legs to his chest, looking out of the corner, expecting Aurum to walk through there. But he got the scare of his life when two strong arms appeared from  behind him and wrapped themselves around his midriff.

Kimi felt warm breath hit his ear as Aurum leaned into him and whispered, "found you."

Kimi laughed lightly as Aurum carried him off his feet and spun him. He shivered as Aurum caught his ear in between his teeth. When Aurum dropped him on the floor, he slapped his arm, wanting him to let go. Aurum didn't and instead turned him around, his arms still around him.

"What are you doing?" he asked with wide eyes as Aurum held his chin and raised his head.

"Taking my reward." Aurum leaned in and pressed his lips against his. He soon deepened the kiss before he leaned back and looked into his eyes. "One." He leaned in and kissed him again, this time using his tongue to part Kimi's lips. This time around, Kimi moaned and he broke the kiss with a smirk. "There you go."

Kimi lightly slapped his arm, breathing heavily so that he could catch his breath. "We agreed on just one."

Aurum shrugged and pecked this cheek. Then he looked up at the sky and smiled lightly. The night was cool as Aurum unwrapped his arms and motioned for Kimi to sit down with him. Kimi did as told, pressing his body into Aurum's. But this action made the paper in his pocket to poke his side. Kimi dug his hand in his pocket and took out the paper.

Aurum raised a brow as he watched Kimi unfold the paper from its balled shape. "What's that?"

"Dae-yang's letter. She wrote one for everyone before she left with her brother," he said, straightening out the crease in the paper.

"Left to where?"

He shrugged as he neatly folded the paper into a squared shape and placed it in his pocket. He folded his arms and placed his head on Aurum's shoulder. A sigh left his lips as he looked up at the sky. They stayed quiet for a while—simply watching the stars—until Aurum asked a question.

"Have you conquered your fears?" Aurum asked softly.

Kimi furrowed his eyebrows as he thought for a few seconds before he said, "yes and no. Yes, I don't fear cadavers anymore. No, my past still hunts me. It's all I see when I freaking go to sleep."

"I thought your sister's remedy is working?"

"It... works per say. On one hand it helps me to sleep. On the other, it freaking keeps me locked in my own head for four freaking hours."

"But it's enough."

"It's enough." They stayed quiet for a while before Kimi asked, "you always talked about fear being this and that. Speaking about fear means that you have or are experiencing it." He shifted his head and looked at Aurum. "What had your fear been?"

Aurum remained quiet before he gripped Kimi's hand and interlaced their fingers. "Loosing you. I had been afraid of you never being mine to love and cherish. I was afraid that the world will dictate the love I have for you."

"But we're together now. Right?"

Aurum hummed and brought their hands to his lips. "Right."

"Then have you conquered it?"

Aurum looked into Kimi's eyes and smiled. "Whenever I gaze into your eyes, I will always say yes."
