Annie brought in a bunch of boxes into the huge building. Juggling a bunch of boxing and trying to look at her room number proved to be difficult. She hated the thoughts of having to act like a teenager, when she was twenty five. But not many cases have been showing up, and this one was the first opportunity in months. Luckily she looked as if she was seventeen. She hoped that she could create some drama, see who thrives off of it or not. Sort through the phonies and the real ones.
Annie walked through the hall and finally found her room number "159". She walked inside and saw a bunch of guys. Two playing video games, one cooking something. And another walk towards the rooms.
Surprised, Annie looked at her room number again. It still read "159".
The five boxes she was juggling suddenly became heavy and she set them down hard. Making a crashing sound.
The guy walking to the rooms noticed her and walked to her.
"Uh, can I help you?" He asked her. His bright brown eyes studied her intensely. She looked him over. He seemed high class.
Every article of clothing on his body was name brand. And she noticed he was wearing a Gucci belt.
She handed him her room number. The boy took it and studied the paper.
"Yeah, that's this room. They messed have messed in the computers or something." The guys said.
By now the other guys had noticed her and game to the door.
"Hayden, already making moves on the ladies." The blonde one said, putting his arm around his shoulders.
Annie crosses her arms and gave the blonde shark eyes.
"Dream on." Annie said glaring at the boys.
Two of them burst into laughter.
The one that they called Hayden rolled his eyes and handed her paper back.
"I can show you to the office if you like? They will sort things out for you." Hayden said.
Annie looked him over, she thought it best not to give him Annie ideas.
"Directions are perfectly fine." Annie said.
"Dang, she's sassy!" One of them said. After laughing, two of the boys walked back to their game.
Hayden gave her directions to the office. She picked up all her boxes and grabbed her paper.
"Thank you." She said.
"Are you sure you don't need any help with all those boxes?" Hayden asked stopping her.
She turned to look at him, but one of the heavy boxes fell from her box tower.
Before it could hit the ground, she stuck out her foot and caught it.
Hayden's eyes went wide. She felt her cheeks flush. She didn't want to raise eyebrows her first day being there.
But sometimes the things she learned in the academy just came as second nature.
"I'll take that as a no." Hayden said, eyes still wide.
Annie walked out of the room, she walked down the twisty halls. And after a few minutes. She had finally found the office.
She set down her boxes and knocked on the office door.
The door almost immediately opened. She was met by a younger looking lady. Her hair was every which way, and she had dark circles under her eyes.
"Yes?" The lady said out of breath.
"I'm Annie Leblanc, my room number says "159". And when I walked in, it was a room full of teen boys." Annie said showing her her room number.
The lady didn't look surprised, she didn't even look at the paper.
"Yes dear, we know. I've been trying to work it out for hours. Students have been complaining all day about it." The lady said, her eyes rimmed with tears.
"I'm so sorry!" Annie said sympathetically. She didn't feel sorry for the lady, she just didn't want to make a bad impression and ruin her assignment.
"Thank you hun. But you may have to stay in that room a few days until we get this all worked out. I've been working all day long trying to figure out what happened." The lady said.
Annie felt her cheeks flush. She had to spend four days in a dorm full of smelly boys.
She figured that the lady didn't even know anything about computers.
Annie knew she could figure it out in the matter of minutes.
"That's fine, don't stress too much ma'am." Annie said picking up her boxes.
"Thank you for understanding sweetie." The lady said.
Annie made her way back to the boys room.
When she got to the door, she sat down her boxes.
Hayden came out of the room and looked at her.
"Hey roomie." She said not very happily.
Hayden's face twisted with confusion.
Two of the boys came out of another room and looked at Annie.
"Hey it's the sassy chick!" The blonde said.
"Can it, lets make this as pleasant as possible." Annie said.
All the boys came out at that point, Annie counted four.
"What are you talking about?" Hayden asked.
"Some computer glitch happened, and the girls weren't separated from the boys. So looks like we're roomies for a few days." Annie said sitting on her boxes.
All the boys faces drained of color.
"Great." One said going back into the room.
"I am NOT sharing a room with a nasty boy. So one of you guys better come off your room." Annie said crossing her legs.
Hayden placed his hand on his neck and sighed.
"Well we have four rooms. And their is five guys that stay in here, so I guess we can bunk up and give you a room." Hayden said.
"What?! No! I'm not bunking up!" One boy said.
"Five? I only saw four." Annie said looking around.
"Well one isn't here yet, he's not coming until tomorrow. So you can stay in his room until tomorrow. Then we'll have to figure out something." Hayden said.
"Hayden! He's not going to be happy that we let someone sleep in his bed!" One boy said.
Hayden shrugged.
"We'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Hayden said.
"So point me to the room and I'll be out of your hair." Annie said.
Hayden pointed to the only room that was on the left side of the room.
Annie picked up her boxes and went to the room.
When she walked inside she saw that the room was huge!
The bed was a king size bed, and the furniture was huge.
She sat down the boxes and looked at the room in amazement. This guy was definitely the leader of their little group.
She noticed on her way to the room that they had a notebook out that read "gang members", so this guys who was staying in here was definitely the leader.
She started unpacking her things and thinking about what she was there for.
Her assignment, during this semester. Was to find a trouble maker who had been causing some serious problems last semester.
They were sure they wouldn't stop this year, so Annie was put on the case.
Every year the problems got worse. It started with funny pranks. Then a cheating scheme let loose. Then some counterfeit money was showing up on the school premises. And then last year, a college student was seriously injured, when someone had been slipped a dangerous drug.
Annie had to find this person. She was so happy to find that she would be in a dorm full of gang members for a few days.
How Lucky was she!
She made her bed and started setting up her spy equipment in the closet. She had fingerprint reading set, dna tests, tasers, knifes, ropes, handcuffs, a gun and many more things. The main things she would need, she kept in a backpack, that could only be locked by fingerprint.
If anyone could find this mischief maker, Annie could......
