Annie woke up the next morning to someone gently shaking her. She instantly felt fear prickle her skin, the day the fire let loose. She quickly sat up and gasped for air.
Annie looked up and saw Hayden. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. She brought her hair out of her face and fake coughed.
"Sorry about that... I-" She tried to say but was quickly interrupted.
"No need to apologize. You're going to be jumpy for a bit, don't stress. I understand." Hayden said with a smile. Annie gave him a quick smile back, but then realized classes started today. She grabbed her phone and looked at the time. 7:49.
"Crap!" She yelled, she quickly grabbed some clothes out of her suitcase and ran to the bathroom.

After she finished dressed she quickly grabbed her backpack full of school supplies/equipment. She sent Hayden a quick thanks for waking her and ran out the dorm.
She grabbed her schedule and quickly looked for her first class, she knew she was going to be a few minutes late, but she figured she could slip on the back without being noticed.
When she doing her first class, she quickly ducked and found crawled to the first seat that was empty. She was only a couple minutes late. When she got in her seat she felt the person who had the seat next to her staring at her.
Annie looked over and saw none other then Asher. She felt her cheeks flush for the second time that day, she was getting a little tired of it.
She wished she had somehow known and picked the other side. She couldn't help but feel.... Upset at Asher still. She didn't know why, they apologized. But something still felt weird between them.
"The teacher isn't even here yet." Asher laughed. Annie looked at the front and saw a empty desk. She slapped her hand against her forehead and then let her head fall against the table.
When she looked back up, something suddenly stuck her.
"You're studying Zoology?" Annie asked. She was stunned. The boys had told her that no one knew what he was studying, because Asher wouldn't tell anyone. Asher awkwardly nodded his head.
"Don't tell anyone though...." Asher said looking down at his notebook.
"I mean I won't, but why don't you want anyone to know?" She asked, Annie could already guess the answer, but for some reason wanted to hear him say it.
"I'm a gang leader, Zoology.... It's...." Asher said, but slowly drifted off.
"For weaklings?" Annie finishes for him, she didn't take kindly to his judgmental statement. But knowing his character, she figured it was "weak" in his eyes.
"I mean yeah.... Guys are supposed to be emotionless and have no feelings. Especially for animals." Asher said. Annie didn't know where he got that mindset, but she didn't like it.
