A few days had passed, and Annie still hadn't visited Asher. And no one could get her to talk either. Jayden would try her best, get a few smiled out of her. But nothing more.
Finally Asher had been released from the hospital.

Asher's side:

Asher walked out of the hospital room, he had just recently got all the machines taken off him. And he was still very sore, but most of the blisters were healed, but scarring had set in. He couldn't look in the mirror, the scars all over his body made him feel like a monster. The doctors did their best to make his face look normal. But the rest of his body was tore up, the doctors said they would go away, but Asher doubted it.

When Asher walked into the waiting room his friends faces lit up.

"I can't believe we get to go back to the college!" The girl said, he found out her name was Jayden a couple days ago.

"You look great man." Johnny said patting him on the back, Asher winced. His back was very tender. He thanked Johnny for his encouragement, but deep down he knew they were lying.

Asher looked around the waiting room for Annie, she sat in one of the corners. They made eye contact, but she quickly turned away. He felt that sick feeling he felt the night she took care of him.

"Have classes started yet?" Asher asked, still looking at Annie.

"Not yet, they actually start tomorrow." Jayden said. Asher nodded, he wanted to go to Annie. Apologize for screaming at her, tell her what happened in the building, and how he kept having flashbacks. He wondered if she had the same flashbacks. But he couldn't go to her, he didn't want to anyways.... He just felt bad for her.... That was it...

"Well, who's driving me back to the college?" Asher asked with a small laugh.

"You're riding with me." Jayden said grabbing her keys out of her purse. Asher nodded and followed her out of the hospital. Asher noticed Annie trailing behind them, he didn't want to look back. But he could see her out of the corner of his eye.

Jayden and Carson got in the front seat, so that left Annie and Asher I'm the back. Before Asher for in the back he let out a quick sigh. He thought maybe he could use that chance to try to get her to talk. The gang had told him that she wouldn't talk.

Asher shook his head slightly, he didn't care wether she wasn't talking or not. It wasn't his problem... Right?

Asher got in the backseat and immediately looked out the window. He felt Annie get in on the other side. He wasn't going to look at her, but after a few minutes, he found himself glancing over at her. Her eyes were glossy for some reason, he wondered if she was thinking about their fight in the elevator.

He quickly looked back at the window and pushed those thoughts aside. He made up his mind that he wasn't going to worry about her any longer, she wasn't his problem. He didn't care about her.... Not one bit.....

"So Annie, how are you feeling? Is your legs still hurting?" Jayden asked looking in the review mirror. Asher glanced down at her legs and saw that they were scarred, along with her left arm. He saw her shake her head no and then look out the window.

He quickly looked away from her. He thought back in when he had to run through the fire, his stomach felt sick at the thought. He wondered how her legs and arms got scarred, he tried so hard to keep her away from the flames. He realized he was thinking of her again, he quickly thought of something else. His studies! Yes! He thought of his classes tomorrow.
