Annie woke up to the sound of people chattering. She felt something pressed tightly against her face. She opened her eyes and saw a contraption on her face. Annie felt someone holding her hand tightly, and a few gasps. She looked over and saw Jayden holding her hand tightly, Hayden and Carson sitting beside her.
Annie tried to grab at the contraption hooked to her face, but Jayden quickly stopped her.

"No Annie. Leave it on your face! It's helping you breath." Jayden said tears streaming down her face.

Annie was so disoriented, she didn't know what was going on. She couldn't remember what even happened.

Her throat felt like sandpaper.
Jayden looked at both the boys and then back at me.

"Do you remember what happened at all?" Jayden asked. Annie looked at her confused, she was so out of it, she didn't know what was going on.
The breathing machine, the sound. It was.... Too much... Too loud.

"Annie do you remember what happened in the fire?" Jayden asked. Hayden looked at her like he was going to scold her.
When Jayden said the word "fire". Everything flooded back, like a bad dream.
The yelling, the ankle, t-the smoke. Her head ached with the thought, and nausea set in.

Annie nodded her head weakly. She felt like ripping off the breathing machine and asking how she got out. The last thing she knew, they were stuck in a elevator.

She felt the skin on her right leg ache. Annie tried to reach at it to itch, but Jayden grabbed her hand and gently laid it down.

"You were burned there. You mustn't touch it." Jayden said. Annie was so confused, there were to many questions with no answers.

Annie grabbed at the machine trying to pull it off. Hayden quickly walked out and called a doctor. A few people came in, in hospital clothes with a syringe. Annie tried to resist, but she was too weak. They held down her arm, and the doctor put something in her. Within a few seconds, everything went black.

Jayden's side: (bet you didn't expect that!😂🤪)
Jayden watched as Annie slipped into unconsciousness. Her heart broke, she felt so guilty, if her and the boys didn't go to get Starbucks, Asher and Annie would have been stuck inside.
She covered her face and began to cry. Carson wrapped his arm around her to comfort her.
She uncovered her face and sucked in a breath.

"D-does anyone know Asher's condition?" Jayden asked.

"I went in there a few minutes ago. His body is burnt body. But it should have been a lot worse. And they don't know why he's still unconscious." Hayden said. They all sat quietly for a moment.

"This is so horrible. I can't believe this is happening." Jayden said tears streaming her face. Carson pulled her into a hug and rubbed her back.

"One thing I heard before we came here is, it was done on purpose. Someone purposely set the school on fire." Hayden said arms crossed. Jayden saw that his jaw was clenched tightly.

"Why would someone do this?" Jayden cried.

"I don't know. But luckily it didn't do much damage to the school. Only the staircase and the electrical is kinda messed up. But they said everyone should be able to come back to their dorms within two days." Hayden said.

"That's good... because I sure won't be leaving here until she's healed up." Jayden said grabbing Annie limp hand.

"My question is, what happened in that building?" Carson asked.

"You mean with Annie and Asher?" Hayden asked.

"Yeah, I wanna know what happened in there. And why Asher bursted out of the exit holding her. Why was she unconscious?" Carson asked.
Hayden shrugged his shoulders.
