Chapter 15: "Drama"

"You're joking!" Jayden screamed standing up from the couch.

"Nope, I have a fat lip to prove it." Annie said crossing her arms. Annie had told her practically everything, except for the little exchange between her and Asher.

"Oh Annie! It looks horrible! Why would your foster brother even be here?!" Jayden asked. Annie had a feeling she knew, but she couldn't share it with her.

"No clue. He's such a pain." Annie said placing her forehead in her hand.

"Are you still planning on going out? There's a party tonight!" Jayden said.

"Well it's only for the afternoon. And how in the world are people still allowed to have party's?" Annie asked.
Annie noticed Jayden's jaw harden.

"I don't know....." Jayden said quietly. Annie sat down next to her.

"I'm sorry Jayden, I didn't mean to bring it up." Annie said placing her hand on Jayden's shoulder.

"It's fine. You and Lilia should get going." Jayden said. Annie nodded and went into her dorm. She was thankful that it was finally the weekend, especially after what had happened last night.
She didn't know what had come over her. And he kissed her back! Annie was so confused, she quickly put on a cute outfit and told Hayden she'd meet him at the movies.

She walked out of the dorm room and saw Lilia waiting for her.

"Dang girl, you're dressed to impress." Annie said with a laugh.

"I mean better safe then sorry, who knows. His friend may be a knock out." Lilia said with a wink. Annie laughed and they both headed out to the parking lot.
Annie found herself really enjoying Lilias company. She was funny and energetic.

"So how did you and Hayden meet?" Lilia asked with a wink. Annie turned and l gave her side glance.

"We were roommates before I decided to take a break." Annie said keeping her eye on the road.

"Did you guys have a falling out? Are y'all getting back to together?" Lilia asked. Annie let out a little laugh.

"We were never a thing. It was something else that's been getting to me. And also. We aren't together." Annie said with a laugh. Lilia looked at her confused.

"But your going on a date with him." Lilia said.

"It's confusing, let's just say I got myself into a accidental..... "Relationship"." Annie said. Lilia let out a laugh.

"I get that." She said.

As they turned down the road, Annie saw a car passing another one. Heading straight for their vehicle. Lilia let out a shriek. Just in the nick of time Annie swerved into a ditch and then out of it. The car screeched.

Annie barley flinched, she just kept on driving. Then she felt Lilias eyes on her. She looked over at her.

"What. The. Heck." She said, her eyes the size of Oreos. Annie shrugged and smiled.

"Quick reflexes." She said with a laugh. Lilia shook her head in amazement.

"You're a wonder." Lilia said letting her shoulder relax.

As Annie pulled in she saw the back of Hayden's snake jacket. And another familiar leather jacket.
Her eyebrows furrowed as she parked into a parking spot.

She quickly fixed her pencil skirt and slung her small backpack over her shoulder.

"You didn't really dress up." Lilia said looking at her outfit.
