Part 18: "William?"

Ashers Side:
Asher sat with Hayden and Carson in silence. Ever since Annie left the dorm was quiet and boring. Asher missed bickering with her, but also regretted it, because that probably pushed her away.

"Why don't you just go and explain what happened Asher? Annie knows how Kenzie is, she'll believe you." Carson said getting up from the couch and going to the kitchen. Asher looked up at Carson and rolled his eyes.

"I-I can't. She doesn't even like me. It would be embarrassing." Asher said rubbing his eyes.

"And so now what? You guys just ignore each other for the rest of the semester?" Carson said pouring a bowl of cereal.

"I mean that sounds pretty childish. We are all on adults and we still act like kids." Hayden said looking at Asher.

"I mean he's got a point." Carson said sitting down with his bowl of cereal.

"I don't like her! So what's the point! I don't have to answer to her." Asher said crossing his arms. Both Carson and Hayden looked at one another and burst into laughter.

"You have to be joking right? Your trying to deny liking her? Do you think we're dumb?" Carson said putting a huge spoonful of captain crunch in his mouth.

"It's obvious you like her. So don't even try denying it." Hayden said chuckling. Asher rolled his eyes and went to the kitchen. He placed his hands on the counter and let his head hang.

"I'm just so confused ya know? I don't know what love feels like." Asher said looking up and looking at the coffee pot.

"Love is when you can't help but look at them, only them. No other girl comes even close to them. And you get butterflies when they walk into the room." Hayden said looking at the wall.

"We can figure it out in a minute. I'm going over to get Jayden. I'll text her and tell her to bring Annie." Carson said getting up and putting his bowl on the counter.

"That isn't a choice either. You're going with Carson." Hayden said getting off the couch.

"This drama has lasted long enough. Now go get something nice on." Carson said walking into his bedroom.

Ten minutes later.....

"You actually look presentable." Carson said with a laugh as he fixed his hair in the mirror.

"I don't know about this." Asher said fixing his leather jacket. Hayden tossed him some hair gel and laughed.

"You don't know about anything. Now fix your hair and get out the door." Hayden said.

"Did Jayden said that Annie agreed?" Asher asked as he squirted hair gel into his palm.

"No clue, haven't checked my phone." Carson said getting his hair to comb over to the side.
Asher stood staring at the hair gel, he didn't want to show up and her to be mad at him.

Right then there was a loud knock at the door.

"I'll get it." Asher said grabbing a napkin and wiping off the hair gel. When he opened the door he saw a tall guy, brown hair and blue eyes with a smile on his face.

"Hi! Is Annie here? They told me this was her room number." The guy said, Asher felt his stomach churn as Annie name crossed his lips.

"Uh, no. She's staying the night with her friends for a bit." Asher said half distracted.

"Could you give me her room number?" The guy said. Asher stood not knowing what to say for a minute.

"Yeah, uh. 438." He said reluctantly.

"Thanks." The guy said walking away. Asher closed the door and turned to Carson.

"I'm not going." Asher said taking off his leather jacket.

"Yes you are." Carson said looking from the mirror to him.

"No I'm not! Did you see that guy? No guy comes looking for a girl like Annie." Asher said flopping down on the couch.

"Asher do you like Annie? Be honest, no lies." Hayden said walking up and sitting down on the coffee table in front of him. Asher sat quiet for a moment, he didn't want to admit it.

"Yes I do." Asher said with a long sigh.

"Then stinking fight for her! What wrong with you? You are going to let her slip through your hands over and over until it's too later!" Hayden practically yelled.

"I don't know Hayden." Asher said rubbing his eyes again.

"Listen to me. Annie is only going to wait so long until you get your junk together. Someone is going to end up coming along. And your still going to be playing around! Now get your butt up and show the girl you aren't going to let her go!" Hayden said. Asher got up and sighed.

"Okay, but if this all blows up in my face your dead." Asher said looking at Hayden.
