I groaned as I stirred awake. "God what time is it." I looked down at the floor still cold cement with a blue and gray rug under the table.

"About 9:15."
"I should have put a clock in this place."  I slid down the wood later next to me, hitting my knee.
"Ow" I stared to rub my leg.
"You ow." I heard a pan hit the ground.
"Thorne!" I turned my head to see him holding his hand.
Ru
"Yeah I was about to." He turned on the water for the sink.
"Did you read my mind."
"Yeah sorry it's hard to control when you are in pain, burns count."
"Oh okay." The pain subsided from my leg. I looked at the fallen pan and noticed he scrambled eggs coming out the side.
"Aww I like eggs."
He laughed, "yeah me too."
"So food, then guns, got it."
"Yeah, we should probably call at least Harper, maybe even the twins."
"Which set." I rolled my eyes, know he wouldn't find it funny.
"Beck and Georgia."
"Okay I'll call Harper."

I laced my fingers together, waiting for Harper to get to our little 'bunker' which I guess is now Thorne's house. I rumble of her busted pick up was in ear shot. I smelled the smoke before I saw it, the black and gray dust visible from the door.

"What did you do to this place?" The Vermont twins came out of the back of the car Harper crawling out of the driver's seat.
"Made it livable."
"Why would you come back." Beck was clearly nervous, as if she was going to step backwards rather than forward. I hear the door Shut behind me, turning my head I could see Thorne a little better dressed than the shorts and shirt he wore to bed last night. Let's just hope no one gets the wrong idea from this.

Harper glared at me, too late now I had to explain myself.
"I uhh couldn't sleep last and so I came here and," I didn't think Thorne wanted them to know and I could tell when he opened his mouth to finish my sentence.

"Then she called me this morning and that's all matters." I nodded as I watched Harper's small head raise as if she didn't believe us. She always had a way to tell if I was lying.

I sat shotgun in Thorne's black Jeep. It seemed like he was okay even if he couldn't pay rent, damn student loans are a bitch. Beck was in the back saying if she spent one more minute in the pick up she would throw up. I could understand that and well I don't know I just didn't want to deal with that conversation that would follow if I was in the car with Harper.

We parked in the diner parking lot. My body went stiff we were about to get breakfast then a gun or eight. I craziest part was I knew the type I wanted. One with a clip rather than a barrel, I will only buy a pistol, Preferably a pull trigger rather than a click and shoot. I mean I have no clue if that's what they are called but I knew I wanted it to be comfortable in my hand.
"Des. Destiny."
"Yeah Beck I'm good." I clicked myself out of the seat belt and slammed the Jeep door shut. I shook my head and shuttered.

We took a booth, not equipped it for eight. I looked down at the eggs Benedict I bought and tried to swallow. The food was untouched and head was spinning from all the new objects. Thinks like espresso machines, and pizza ovens. It made me loss my appetite fast.

"Des you okay." Seb was sweet in the way he asked it. But I knew he was asking only because we need to say something to one and other, and I wasn't eating.
"Yeah just the buzzing is nonstop." Everyone looked at me proving the point that it was from the items and the room and I was just between nauseous and crazy.

Throne spoke up for me though, "yeah the ASMR continues on a mental level." I snickered at the comment always there to save my ass from the awkward.

"Right," Harper and Sam gave me the look. You the bitchface meet questionable suggestion. "So where the hell do you even buy a gun." Harper just skipped all thoughts of small talk with that statement.
"There has to be a gun shop somewhere right it's Pittsburgh." Seb seemed sure of this but I feel like it would be the opposite because we are in the city. No need or place to hunt. And that's another problem I have with guns we don't need any sort of regulation to buy or use one.

"Why are eight teens skipping out on spring break and trying to buy guns." Out waiter came buy, I think he said his name was Timmy it Thomas, something with a 'T'. We all spun our heads towards him, out of the corner of my eye I could see Harper's boy crazy look. She always did it in the presence of a cute guy, I had to give her that he was cute he'll he was hot, but when Harper got that look in here eye there was no escape.

"We are on a spring break road trip."
Sam stared I had to continue, "yeah and we wanted to try hunting we are only here for the week next is Ohio all that open land."
"Yeah so you know of a place." Zoey finished up our lie with a wink and Harper turned pink.
"Yeah actually, 21st and 3rd there's an intersection and a small corner shop, my dad runs the place. 'Guns before the roses' he's a big mullet rock fan." I wanted to laugh but I think I would have been the only one so I just bit my inner lip.
"Cool thanks for help." Thorne sounded less nice now that we didn't know this guy. Alph make I guess.

I look over at Harper still blushing and she still had that look in her eyes, I took the opportunity to embarrass her.
"Hey what's your name again?"
"Alex, Alex white."
"Well thanks for all the help Alex." Harper kicked me from under the table.
I gritted my teeth hoping no one other then Harper could hear me. "Ow bitch."
"Your the bitch." We both rolled our eyes as Alex walked away.

"Okay so I just paid when ever Mr. Pretty boy gets back we can head over to the family business." Okay that's where I lost it. I laughed so hard that I toppled over Zoey and Beck soon followed.
Beck tried talking through the laughter, "Are you jealous Thorne?"
"What no let's just go." More laughter and snake eyes.
