Chapter 31 Destiny March 27, 2026

I woke up to a pillow still wet with tears. I could taste the salt in my mouth. I stammered out of bed to take a shower. The water ran down my back making me shiver. I tried to focus on what comes next not what happens now. So stars were supposed to fall before os. Of course that was written before we knew stars are just giant balls of gas millions and millions of light-years away from planet earth. Maybe we will have another freak earthquake and then the sky will turn blood red.

It was around 9:3p when I got to the clubroom. Only Zoey and Thorne were even there. They were both leaning over Zoey's laptop. I don't think they were doing anything helpful though. Each of them had an off brand AirPod.
"Hey what are you two up to?" I grabbed a Ben and Jerry's ice cream from the freezer.
"Oh uhh, Doctor Who." The fangirl in me wanted to come out.
"Which Doctor?"
"10th." I just nodded know that the best was yet to come.

I pulled out my own laptop, trying to link anything to the sixth seal. There was a Blood moon on the first. Maybe that has to do with 'the moon turned like blood'. That was a stretch, but possible. But what does that mean. We go to the center of the earthquake and then take a picture at the Blood Moon's Apex. Parts of it make sense but the rest doesn't. We still had four days to work this all.

"WAIT THERE IS A NEW DOCTOR!" Zoey screamed clearly forgetting I was in the room. I snicker for the sheer fact that the 11 Doctor was the best.
"Hey Zo, have you even see the show?" I had to ask.
"No, Thorne just told me to watch it with him." Her face was redder than a tomato at this point.
"Okay." Now I was biting my lower lip trying not laugh. I went back to my computer looking up moons and shit.

"Hey Thorne who much of about the Blood Moon do you know?"
"What?"
"Blood Moon, what do you know about it."
"Oh uhh nothing why?"
"I think it may have something to do with the next seal."
"When is it?"
"Friday." He went back to his computer, and I really couldn't blame him.

I walked out of the dingy...... house? I mean Thorne lives here.

I dialed the now familiar number hoping he wasn't in the hospital.
"Hey Des, what's up?"
"Hey Alex, how much do you know about the blood moon this week?"
"Uhh not much, why?"
"Well I was think, what If it has to do with the sixth seal. Because 'the moon turned like blood'"
"Yeah okay when I get home I can look into it."
"How is he?" I was hoping to avoid talk about his Dad but Alex said he was going to spend the day at the hospital.
"He's, Uhh hanging in there." Well that's not good. "What are you up too?"
"Oh you know, Researching biblical events, explaining to Zoey how the Doctor Who works. Same old same old." I heard him laugh on the other side of the line. For unknown reasons it made my stomach dance.
"Well I have to go talk to the nurse, I'll talk to you later Des."
"Bye."

I walk around the clubroom so that I'm at the small training grounds there was a small rake of basketballs I placed over three weeks ago. I lifted my hand feeling a small tingling climbing down my arm. Like static, but somehow it worked. Every orange sphere coming off the rake floating around five feet off the ground. I moved my hand in small circles watching the basketballs spin in the air.

"That's New." A voice came from behind me. Every basketball feel from the air rolling in 12 directions. I turned to see someone I didn't know.
"Who are you?"
"A runway."
"That's not a name."
"That's all you need to know, I heard that most people who chose grey are stuck up and don't know how to control it."
"The buzzing to the ability?" I tried dragging sarcasm into the conversation.
"Both, you are powerful Destiny Charman, remember that." The girl turned on her heels walked three feet then disappeared completely.

I collected the basketballs by hand think over what just happened. I girl disappeared before my eyes and that girl wasn't Sam. I had no clue what to do. She seemed to know about the, what was it called? House of eight, I think. She didn't seem scared of me rather she was proud of me, like I impressed her. She didn't give me any information either, she just said, those who once had my ability were bitches. And yeah that's expected, according to Chuck and Alex this whole kidnap some people and give them superpowers has been going on for around an eon, but what was she doing here.

OMG I am so sorry for the long ass wait for this very short and boring chapter. I was drafting a different book and then I had a huge writers block.
