I car was silent. I sat in my usual seat, shotgun, just staring out the window. I trees would rise and far the cars zipped by. The whole ride I was in and out of sleep. I wanted to say something but the silence was comfortable, well it seemed that way. All of us had twisted smiles though, like word just wouldn't form. I thought maybe I could call Zoey in the other car, or even Alex but I didn't know if Zo was wake and I don't have a clue on what Alex's work schedule was.

Thorne took his eyes off the road for a minute to look at me and then the twins in the back. He looked back in front of him. The rain started slowly a few drops here and there, but now it was so loud and so much I could hardly see in front of me I don't know how Thorne is doing it but I'm just glad that I didn't have too. I know I offered to drive but he said no and now I'm glad he did.

I stared spinning pencil around my fingers. Up and over the middle the down and under the pointer then up again. I tried to think about something, even if it was really dumb like a fanfic I read, but my mind remains blank.

I checked my watch 8:12 am. I looked back out the window a few more trees a few more cars. I looked in the review mirror both Beck and Georgia are asleep. I turned my head Thorne was the only one of us that didn't want to sleep.

"How much coffee did you have." I almost want to hit him, god how is he awake all I want to do is sleep but the rain is too loud.
"Hmm."
"Like really how are you awake."
"Oh umm I, none coffee isn't really my thing."
"Tea then." My voice was almost playful now.
"No." He laughed making it seem like the sun was out again, hearing his laugh made me wake up. I smiled. Wow what would Harper think.
"So you just don't sleep." The words came out between small laughs.
"What no, Im just an early bird."
I roll my eyes, "why would anyone want to be one of those."
Now he rolled his eye, "because I can then get the most out my day."
"It's break we have enough on our plates trying to save the world, you don't need," I tried to mimic his voice. " get the most out of my day"

The conversation went on like this, me making fun of him, him laughing along. My stomach was flying. I pushed my hair behind my ear, my smile wider that my face. It went on like this. And god above only knew how happy I was about that.

We pulled into the 'parking lot' next to, whatever it's called. Screw it I'm calling it the clubroom. Either way I placed my hand on the door my face hurting from smiling to much. The door clicked open.

I took the scroll out of my bag and placed it on the table. The eight seats all pushed in perfectly. I took a breath and removed the silk.

"So this is it." Zoey was very obviously somewhere between scared and excited.
"Yeah this is." I was very bubbly, so much so that it carried over into my voice.
"So I thought if we had this, it would stop it." Harper spoke but it had an under tone I couldn't understand.

"That's the thing." Everyone looked at me, I gulped. "We aren't stopping the apocalypse we're ending it. All the seals are broken which means The apocalypse is already happening, and I have no clue how long it's been going on." Everyone was silent for a solid ten minutes.

"We should call Alex." I looked up from the table looking for his face. Thorne of all people said that.
"Why?" Beck was blunt in the question but keeping her soft voice.
"Yeah what does he have anything to do with this?" Sam was somewhere in between mystified, mortified, and terrified with both her words and facial expressions.
"Well it's just..." Thorne looked to where me and Harper were sitting for help. Oh my god was he spying on us yesterday.

I cleared my throat. "Well Alex says he's kinda like our info giver but we have to report back to him." I say glaring at Thorne hoping he would get the message.

"What why?" The word spit out of Georgia's mouth.
"Ummm well we won't have these powers if not for his dad and what difference does it make really." Harper was really bad at defending this.

"Still and why do only the three of you know?" Zoey was just straight confused, yep summer child.
I decided the truth was the easiest answer. "He called me yesterday in the woods trying to help see how all of us were, and then I called him later when we got back to the hotel to tell him what happened. We decided maybe it is best if someone wrote it all down, that way if anything similar happened people would know what the hell to do." Okay so maybe it wasn't the exact truth but it was all the important parts, and the real one is barely different. The only real difference was it wasn't my idea.

Everyone stared dumbfounded at me, so spoke again. " but I thought only me and Harper knew about it so Thorne how the hell do you know?" I bent an eyebrow at him.

"Uhh well I might have heard you two talking yesterday back at the hotel." Okay that was normal enough but he seemed suspicious for some weird reason.

xXx

About 30 minutes later Alex stood before the eight of us in the clubroom.
"So your saying that every seal was broken." Alex was blown away like a catholic at Bible camp.

"Ever last one, I mean how long has this been going on." I was about the only person that was comfortable talking to Alex. Every word I said to him my Thorne's smile twist with what I can only assume would be jealousy, and god does that make me smile. He was Jealous of me talking to some guy, at least I think.

"I have no clue, but maybe that's why world peace is a foreigner concert, because someone fucking stared the apocalypse." Got to say I didn't take Alex for someone who would just casually cursed like that, but it was nice to hear someone other than myself swear, I'm not quite sure why.

I nodded in agreement, everyone else soon did the same. It was weird putting myself in this leadership position, but no one else seemed to want it, or maybe I just wanted this to be over, whatever this is.

The nine of us just sorta sat around the room looking for something, anything really that was suspicious within the last 100 years or so. I closed the book of unsolved crime I was reading and walked out the door, now with a handle on the inside only.

I air was icy but a nice change from the heater I was sitting next to. I walked over to the basketball courts and sat back down at the base of one of the nets.

I pulled out my phone and pressed Luna's name in my contacts.
"Come on pick up pick up." I stared to mutter.
"Destiny he you get laid yet?"
"LUNA"
"What. Anyway what's up kiss and tell."
"Would you shut the hell up nothing happened, and why would you think something did. Anyway I just wanted to say I'm back in the city but I might not be home till tonight or maybe even tomorrow."
"Great you can have one more day to you know with that blonde of yours."
"I'm hanging up now."
"Have fun with it you know."
"Goodbye."

I roll my eyes at Luna's comments, nothing was happening. Maybe I liked a guy, maybe he liked me but that was it. I just sat there for a while, letting my head clear. Till Alex sat right next to me.

"What." I huff not wanting to do anything today. He shoves a iPad my way o pen to a news article. Some fancy party tonight with a bomb threat.

"So leave it to the cops."
"That doesn't sound like war?" He was skeptical as I was, but he had to find something.
"So what you want to crash the party."
"It's free for couples but, I do t know aren't all of you single."
"Ummm fine the two of us will go we can pretend to be date," I trail off having seen enough teen romcoms, would this end up okay.
"Are you really okay with that?"
"I mean do we have another option?"
"Okay it's formal."
"You got a suit." He rolls his eyes at me and stands up.
"Meet me hear at eight."
"Fine."

This could end so very badly.
