Chapter 5

"Guys, I got a call saying that we have today off and we could just wander around," Chris says, going down the stairs to inform everyone on the news. You all sat down in the living room after laying out your things. The penthouse was definitely going to be comfortable for all of you equally for one month. Well, maybe not Seungmin but that's besides the point.

"Who wants to go buy food?" Jeongin asks loudly as he stood up, causing everyone to turn to look at him.

"Me!" You immediately reacted, standing up, as well.

"Did y'all not eat while we were on the plane?" Chris asks.

"There was food on the plane?" You and Jisung ask in unison, scratching your heads as your memories didn't recall any food.

"Yup, but you guys were sleeping so I didn't wake you up," Seungmin answers you both.

"And airplane food sucks. Of course, I didn't eat," Jeongin adds, going over to the counter where his wallet was.

"Okay, okay. But I have to distribute the money to you guys first," Chris says, taking out a stack of American dollars out of his back pocket.

Like hungry wolves, you all surrounded him while you kept your hands out, begging to be the first to receive money.

"Chill, people. You only get a thousand dollars every two weeks," Chris explains, handing each of you your share of money. Though you were all paying for your own food, that amount still seemed more than enough.

But, hey, who were you to complain about money?

"Alright. Jeongin and I are heading out, y'all want anything?" You ask them, putting on your shoes.

"Wait, I want to come," Felix says. "Me, too," adds Seungmin.

"Could you just get us burgers?" Minho speaks for them all.

"Alright," you answer as the four of you stepped out to buy some food.

After coming back from your little food trip, you saw a pice of paper displayed on the kitchen counter. Growing interested, you picked it up and read it.

It was the instructions and rules you guys had to follow while you were staying in New York.

Working hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Call time: 7:45 a.m.
~three people in the lobby, three people for the entrance and valet, three people for housekeeping
Lunchtime: 11:45 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
*You may leave the hotel or have lunch in the buffet.
Rules:
~You are not allowed to jump in when one gets in trouble since it might cause a bigger commotion. Instead, ask for the manager.
~You can either use the staff elevator or the elevator leading to the penthouse only.
~Even when a guest is being stubborn, you must answer politely and with respect.
~You must wear your uniform at all times during work.

They were simple instructions; simple enough for all of you to follow. As the rest who stayed were in their respective rooms, you called everyone down to talk about the delegations.

You all ended up deciding to divide yourselves by age—Chan, Minho, and Changbin were to do valet and entrance; Hyunjin, Jisung, and Felix were to handle housekeeping; and Seungmin, Jeongin, and yourself were responsible for lobby.

After that was all settled, the nine of you ate your food and rested. The plane ride was as long as a whole day, so everyone was exhausted. Some decided to go back up to their rooms while the rest stayed in the living room, simply lounging off and taking advantage of the wide area you guys had.
