Everybody then turns to look at you, the loud gasps and remarks of people were heard throughout the whole lobby.

You could've sworn you saw even more people come to check out the mess in the halls, only leaving you in a deeper feeling of shyness and embarrassment.

Luckily, before anything could worsen the problem, the manager walks in, picking you up from the floor before confronting the two ladies.

"What happened here?"

"Your stupid hotelier was being rude," the girl complains. "I already told her I was busy and that the elevator could wait, but she insisted I step aside. I suggest you teach her some more."

"Miss, I will no doubt teach her about things like this, but there seems to be nothing to teach," the manager answers back, and you could tell he was slightly livid.

"Still, people like her should never even be given a job like this. She doesn't fit the job, anyway."

"A hotelier should be tall, have an hourglass figure, and pretty—she doesn't apply to any of those," she spits at you. There was absolutely no reason for her to insult your appearance like that. It was obvious she didn't have anything to say and she was only going further to make you feel horrible, so she attacked your outward appeal. Even though English was not your first language, you understood that, and you were pretty sure the lady knew that, too.

At that point, you could see smoke coming out of the manager's ears, but his facial expression remained calm.

"Miss, I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave. You hit my staff and that is unacceptable. Please leave or I'm calling security," the tone in the voice of the manager was intimidating, and you were pretty sure the whole room had chills run down their spines.

After hearing that, the two girls walked away embarrassed, making their way past the crowd. You were holding your hands together, trying not to let out a cry in front of everyone. As the manager turned back, he gave you a quick smile.

He bent down to reach your level and softly speaks, "You should ask one of your friends to help treat your wounds and go take a rest. Come back after lunch. For now, you are on break."

He pats your head before straightening his posture to leave. The crowd soon started to disappear, and some nice and encouraging words were thrown at you from some of the guests.

You walked back to go use the elevator to the penthouse, but as you turned a corner, Seungmin immediately pulled you by the arm and accompanied you up.

His footsteps were rushed as he lead the way. Eventually, you both made it to the penthouse, and the first thing he did was bring you to the sink to wash off all the blood. It stung but the gentle touch of Seungmin's hands were enough to ease some of the pain.

He quickly grabbed the first aid kit and sat you down on the couch, carefully placing some medication and dressing the wounds up with a bandage.

"There," he says, finishing up the folds of bandage on your hands. You were still holding back your tears as you didn't want to cry over something small, but that seemed to have been noticed by Seungmin.

"You shouldn't waste your tears on those people, Min. They're too ugly and they don't deserve your tears," he jokingly remarks, making you release a chuckle.

Seungmin rested his back on the couch, pulling you back to lean on his shoulder. As he started to massage the part of your head that hit the wall, you grabbed his free hand and played with his fingers. It was habitual for you to do so. Ever since you were young, your parents would always offer their hand for you to play with whenever you felt sad or scared.

As you continued to play with his hands, you felt him give you a kiss at the top of your head.

"Ew, that's way too much hairspray for your own health," he remarks with fake disgust, again making you chuckle and shake your head at his joke.

A quick moment of silence landed upon you two as you both did nothing but stare into the nothingness ahead of you. Well, that's what you think Seungmin did. While you were distracted by your sudden interest in the coffee table in front of you, you had yet to have noticed the shots being fired at you.

Seungmin only sat there beside you, admiring your every feature as he got lost in your natural beauty that still managed to peek through your thin layer of makeup.

But he remained silent.

"Your hands are so big, Min," you comment after grabbing the topic of your new discussion.

"Of course. You and Yongbok have the same sized hands. Look," as he said that, he brought his hand up to cover your whole face, proving to you that he did have big hands compared to you. You both chuckled at his action, lightening the mood.

"And that nickname. No one's here to confuse so I don't know why you're still using it," he adds, bringing his hand down.

"Just because," you reply, also not really knowing the reason why. It became normal for you to call them by your guys' codenames. "And besides, it seems like we're a couple, don't you think?"

"Are you forgetting Minho? This ain't a polyamorous relationship, Minju."

——

You and Seungmin were quietly sleeping on the couch, not aware of the time. It was already lunchtime and yet you both were still unconscious. The boys had just come up when they saw you two, wondering why you two were there before them.

Slowly approaching your sleeping figures, Chris was about to call you two to wake you up, but Jisung and Hyunjin stopped him before he did. Not wanting to question why, he just tells everyone to get their things and let the two wake you up for him as everyone left.

They both took out their phones and discreetly took pictures. Immediately after, they look at each other, both confused.

"Why are you taking pictures?" The two ask each other in unison. "Do you know something I don't?" Hyunjin asks.

"Do you know something I don't?" Jisung asks back.

Almost immediately, the two's lips curved into sly smirks, an idea popping into their heads.

"Operation MinMin: open," they both whisper, not wanting anyone else to hear.

"Yah, I told you to wake them up!" Chris yells from his room upstairs, startling the boys and causing both their phones to drop.

i'm cuckadoodleback roosters
this is the second part to chapter 7, but i just wrote it as chapter 8 since it was  originally one whole chapter
and besides, chapter 7.2 sounded terrible
relatively short ik, but it would've been extra long together
