"You guys can't sleep either?"
"After seeing you and Seungmin get all affectionate? Yes, you ruined my night and now I can't sleep," the boy answers bitterly, crossing his arms over his chest childishly.
"I just don't have a reason to sleep, and games are getting boring," Felix starts, "So, yeah, I'm wide awake."
You checked the time on the clock, wondering what you could do at this hour. It was four in the morning, and the three of you were not at all sleepy. There were only a few things you could do at the house without making too much noise, so you chose from the options that involved going outside.
Seungmin was fast asleep in your guys' room, and you even had to shuffle your way out of his embrace. He almost woke up, but you played with his hair to soothe him, and that's how you left.
"Shall we go for a jog?"
"What, no, Minju. We're on vacation and you want to go for a jog? Excuse me?" Felix counters but you looked to Jeongin and he seemed to be alright with the idea.
"We can get breakfast after."
"I'm in."
——
"Minju, we have questions."
The three of you had been jogging for about thirty minutes now, and you were sure the other two were starting to get tired. Jeongin especially as he spoke with a shaky voice.
"Ask away."
The sunrise—it was beautiful. To be honest, you were a little distracted by its beauty when you answered Jeongin. Looking at it was a true blessing, and you thought to yourself how you should really start to do this more often, considering Korea's cold air in the mornings would be a great benefit and pretty advantageous.
You were so mesmerized by the sun's dark orange color, and it relaxed your tired manner. One look at its magnificence, and anyone could be healed, no matter how deep the wound.
"Have you and Seungmin done i-"
"Felix, what even?" Your head jolts to the right, and you give the boy a look of disgust.
"Hyung, that was not my question."
"Well, I wanted to know," Felix shrugs as if the topic was something you could talk about with someone so casually outside.
"Of course, we haven't. It's against both our principles," you reply to him to satisfy his curiosity.
Yeah, it wasn't really your thing, and we are not going into that topic.
"Sheesh, I was just wondering. Since you wore a swimsuit for the very first time, I thought some things might've changed," he brings his arms up in surrender, acting like you and Jeongin were going to start firing shots at him, "but I guess not."
"Well, anyway," Jeongin derives both of your attentions. "My question was if Seungmin had told you the three special words yet."
"Pfft, yeah, Jeongin, as if Seungmin's never said 'I like you' to Minju yet," Felix scoffs, and you both look at the boy weirdly.
He's never had a crush, so just play along.
Oh, poor kid.
"Actually, Jeongin, he has," you answer him and you found it cute how his eyes gradually grew wider by the moment.
"I told you. You're too innocent for this stuff, Jeongin. Wait until you're grown up or more mature like me," Felix arrogantly comments but Jeongin decides to just let it slide past him.
He knew he was more mature than Felix'll ever be anyway.
——
"You guys really only got pancakes?" you stare at the plates in front of them, questioning their food picks as the two always chose one of the platters for breakfast.
"Yeah, we just jogged and eating a lot will defeat the purpose," Felix tells you, and you look down to your platter in front of you. Yup, a breakfast platter.
Obviously, you weren't going to finish all of it. You knew that the short and piteous stack of pancakes that they had was not going to fill their huge appetites, so you purposely ordered something they usually got.
You were content with two pieces of toast and eggs anyway, you just had to wait for them to pick off of your plate.
And they did.
They ended up sharing on about three-fourths of your plate, and in exchange, they gave you the freedom to eat from theirs. But you were happy seeing them happy. The euphoric expressions that overtook their once drooling ones made you smile, and you were more than okay with what was given to you.
"You know, we should really visit an amusement park," Felix suggests.
You were on board with the idea right when you heard it. Amusement parks were one of your favourite places to be. It was clear that most of the nine of you were adrenaline junkies, and you were somewhere in the middle of it. It just so happened to be that the two you were with at the moment were two of the main junkies of the group.
And you were just down for anything at the time.
Your gaze shifted to Jeongin almost automatically, and you could tell that he was not going to reject the idea anytime soon either.
The boy jerked from his seat, jumping like a little child who just had their mother buy them one of their favourite toys.
"Let's do it!" Jeongin exclaims loudly. Fortunately, not much people were at the restaurant.
"When shall we go?" You ask, starting to plan out the trip even without the permit of others.
"We should just go today. The only thing planned for today is Chris' barbecue, but we can do that when we come home," Jeongin answers.
You weren't a fan of spontaneity, but you didn't want to be the reason the boy in front of you was sad for the rest of the day. You were not going to be the one to burst his bubble, and you kind of hoped Felix would be the one to fill that role for you, but he didn't.
"Sure, Jeongin. Let's go today."
