"Where are you taking us?" Lies questioned as the group of cats followed Horsetail.

"Silence," Horsetail repeated, making Lies grunt in annoyance. She had been shown so much respect in her life. She was always the oldest and smartest. Now, that Horsetail was disregarding her, it was frustrating.

They traveled into a thick region of the forest where cedars were densely clumped. The broken logs and weeds the cars had to maneuver themselves through the obstacles as Horsetail kept the lead, with no slow in pace.

By the time they entered a less dense area that appeared already settled in judged by the clear weeds and Horsetail's body language. The elder sniffed around and looked up to the trees where he scoffed and turned toward us.

"Raspypaw, why don't you give our new warriors some fresh-kill?" Horsetail said and a ruffle of leaves sending our eyes above. Before the cats could even focus on the canopy two brown clumps fell from the trees and thudded against the ground.

Icy investigated the squirrels with eagerness. Smelling the warmth that radiated off the fresh body was tantalizing. Before waiting for Horsetail's permission she dug her fangs into its pelt and tore out the fresh meat that bursted with flavor against her tongue. It wasn't long when Em and Skorge dug into the same squirrel and the others did to the next.

"Eat and rest. Then at Sun down, we shall travel," Horsetail announced then turning and crawling into a burrow that must've been his den. The young ginger tom, named Raspypaw, jumped down from the massive oak trees and landed on his paws gracefully.

"Where did you get these? They're delicious," Skorge asked with a mouthful of squirrel meat. Raspypaw chuckled as he strolled over.

"From the trees," he rasped looking up into the oak's green canopy. Raspypaw sighed in contempt before making his way over to a den.
