-Day 6 Part 3-

*Stanley's POV

I picked up my phone gingerly and called Chelsene.

Please pick up, babe. You know I love you and didn't mean what I said, I thought.

My heart was pounding rapidly as I thought of what I was gonna say.

"Hello, do you have anything to say because I'm pretty busy right now," Chels said over the other end.

Damn that sweet voice. I miss that voice (when she's not shouting, of course) so much.

"B...babe please. F..forgive me. I'm in the wrong. I just couldn't believe your parents agreed. D..don't be angry anymore, I will come over for tonight's dinner."

There wasn't a reply over the other end for a few moments.

"Okay. I forgive you. Come over tonight. 6pm. Don't be late."

She ended the call and I gulped. She didn't sound too friendly, did she?

Later that night, I went over to her house fifteen minutes before the given timing.

"Hey Chels, this is for you. I'm really sorry about what happened in the morning," I muttered shyly while handing the roses and chocolates to her.

"What? Um, never mind. I told you I forgive you. Thanks anyway," she said and turned went in the house.

I followed her in and closed the door.

"Mum! Stanley's here!" she shouted as she tossed the box of chocolates and flowers casually on the coffee table like it was garbage.

I bit my lip.

"Oh hello Stanley! We've talked to Chels and well, agreed. Come sit at the table while you wait, dinner will be served in five. Chelsene's dad will be home soon from work."

I thanked Chelsene's mother and sat at the table with Chels opposite me.

She whipped out her phone but ignored me.

"Dinner's ready!" Mrs Diane shouted from the kitchen.

"Coming, mum!" she replied and got up from the chair to help her mum bring out the food. I followed suit too.

"Oh that's nice of you Stan, thank you," Mrs Diane smiled, her straight, pearly white teeth gleaming under the light.

"It's nothing," I smiled back.

Just then, Chelsene's dad came back and joined us at the table.

"Hello Stanley, great to have you over."

We talked during the whole dinner and Chelsene who was sitting beside me now didn't talk much.

I reached over to Chelsene's hand under the table and took her hand in mine. To my surprise, she didn't pull away.

I guess this is going well...?
