I was sat in the interview room crying to Jack. I told him everything. I don't know why I said everything. I just did. I was next to Jack leaning on his shoulder and Nate was sitting opposite us. Me crying Infront of people was kind of a big thing, I didn't cry and when I did nobody else would be there.I wasn't crying because me and Jordan had argued, it was mainly because my arm was still burning and I felt guilty. I felt guilty for everything that happened with Jack and for what happened with Nates eye.
"That boy needs time to thin-." Nate started to say.
"Time to think!" Jack yelled.
"If you leave me finish," Nate continued, "maybe some time in the back of the car, wouldn't be a bad idea." he clicked open the handcuffs.
Jack smirked and stood up. I pulled him back down.
"no." I stated.
"Yes." Jack replied and left the room again, leaving just me and Nate in the room. I wasn't allowed to leave the room until Aaron came to get me, apparently I wasn't "responsible enough"
"He's back." Nate said standing up, I copied him and went to the window. Jordan was with him.
"What's he arrested him on?" I asked.
"Possession of drugs probably," Nate shrugged, "then we'll take the CCTV footage of him burning you."
"no you won't."
"uh, yes we will."
"no you seriously can't, it's the smoking spot there aren't any cameras."
He sighed, "we can never get anything against that boy."
"he's smart."
He hesitated before replying, "Do you want to help us."
"with what?"
"well you spend alot of time with him, so help us get evidence against him."
I shook my head, I wasn't doing that. Jordan could be violent on any day, helping the police wouldn't help. Aaron couldn't have timed anything better, he came up behind me.
"RE now right?" He asked still not knowing my timetable. I could've lied and said PE but that wouldn't have helped, I nodded, got my bag and followed him.
I didn't speak to anyone throughout the lesson. I wasn't planning on doing any speaking. Tyler was trying to get me to speak but he was getting nowhere. Then my phone vibrated between my legs. I looked down. My heart skipped a beat when I saw who it was from. Jordan. I didn't want to open it, but of course I did.
Jordan- You little snitch. Snitching me up to the police. It's a good thing I love you, I kept your name out of it all.
Then another message came through.
Jordan- Come round to my place after school. We've got stuff to do.
Stuff to do. That could mean alot with Jordan. Drugs. Kissing. Drinking. Hitting. I was never sure with him. I also didn't know where I was gonna go at lunch. Jordan was definitely back in school. Aaron nudged me when my teacher was walking around the class. He knew I was on my phone, he was probably reading the messages too. I put my phone into my bag and started doing the work. RE was one of my strong subjects but today, I just didn't want to do anything.
"Jess, what's number 3?" Tyler asked.
I'd normally reply but, I ignored him, I hated doing it to him but I couldn't help it. I just didn't want to speak to anyone. Aaron took my sheet and passed it over to Tyler. I put my head on the table, keeping my arm covered. Even thought he burnt my arm over an hour ago it still stung like hell.
Lunch came around sooner than I wanted. As always Jordan was waiting for me. He put his arm around me before I can go the other way. He led me outside and to the usual spot. Alex wasn't there. So of course Jordan pulled me close to him and kissed me. I couldn't escape his grasp, so I just kissed him back. It didn't take long for everyone else to make an appearance. Once everyone did get there, Jordan moved his lips from mine. I was relieved because his breath smelt of smoke. He pulled a packet of cigarettes out cigarettes out of his bag, I started shaking as he got the lighter. I was scared, he was going to burn me. He didn't so I relaxed.
"Don't forgot. We're going to my house after school. I need you to help me with a few things." Jordan whispered in my ear.
I nodded and watched Jody, Tyler, Poppy and Ashton walk passed us. I'd really traded good friends for popularity. It was a mistake. A big mistake.
