There was a knock at the door that woke me and Tyler up. We both looked at eachother. There was a knock at the door again.
"Tyler." Tracy said.
"One minute." He replied taking his pyjama top off.
"Under the bed." He whispered.
I climbed out of the bed and layed silently under it. I was hoping she didn't notice that I was under the bed, because I didn't really want to come out from under it wearing Tylers oversized hoodie and shorts.
He opened the door.
"Jess, out from under the bed."
I rolled out from under the bed and smashed my head on the drawers.
"Ow!" I whispered shouted, "How did you even know I was under there?"
"Tyler isn't the best at whispering, Mya told me you left your room in the middle of the night and everyone is down stairs apart from you two. It's not that difficult to join the dots." She said trying not to laugh after I banged my head on the drawers.
"Oh." Tyler replied.
"Anyway you two know the rules, you shouldn't be in here together let alone be sleeping in the same bed, and don't even think about saying that you didn't sleep in the same bed or in here because 1, that's not your hoodie and 2 your onesie is on the bed, which means you changed in here in the middle of the night, and if Mike or May-li found out you'd be dead."
"Sorry." Tyler said.
"We won't do it again." I replied.
"I'm not telling you to stop sneaking into eachothers rooms, just make sure you don't get caught again and we'll pretend we never had this conversation."
She turned around and left his room.
"That was close." I told Tyler.
"Very close, but Jody can't find out about this because we argued last night because we hugged all through the films."
"I know I was outside her door, anyway can I wear your hoodie today."
"Okay, but I want my shorts back."
"Yeah I know."I said closing his door so he could finish getting changed in to his school uniform.
I went back into my bedroom and put on a pair of blue ripped jeans and kept Tylers hoodie on. I walked downstairs and into the kitchen. I knew, that I had to tell Jody that I didn't fancy Tyler, because it was technically ruining their friendship.
As soon as I walked in, I took some of Mike's toast before realising that Jody wasn't sitting where she normally sat and there wasn't any spaces next to her for me and Tyler. Alex was sitting next to Charlie where Jody normally sat, so I just sat next to him.
Jody looked up at me and said, "That's Tylers."
"Yeah I know he's leaving me wear it today."
She rolled her eyes and carried on talking to Sasha.
"What's wrong with her?" Alex asked elbowing me.
"She thinks I fancy Tyler." I said loud enough for her to hear, "but I don't."
The room went silent, I didn't realise how loud I said it. Jody looked up at me and glared. I glared back at her.
"You could cut the tension with a knife right now." Jay muttered.
The room started to get louder again, but as soon as Tyler walked in, it went dead silent yet again.
"What?" He asked not knowing what happened.
Nobody replied, so he just sat down next to me. Glares were exchanged all through breakfast, they only stopped when Jodys phone started to ring. Her face lit up when the name appeared on the screen.
"Brandon." She said with a grin, before getting up and walking into the living room.
Tyler looked down and didn't say anything until Ryan had something to say on the matter, "Oh look Tylers getting jealous because he knows Jody only sees him as one of the guys now."
I wanted to go over a hit him, but that would have probably made matters even worse.
"I'm not jealous of Jody. I don't care if she's going out with Brandon. Why would it make a difference to me?" He yelled before storming out the back door.
I'd never heard Tyler yell that loud it actually startled me.
"Tyl..." Mike called out but got interrupted by the back door slamming shut.
"I'll go." I said, as I was about to go outside, I heard Ryan mutter something that made me loose my temper.
I turned back around and slapped him, he hit me back but I left it and started to walk towards the back door.
"Ryan. Office now!" May-li yelled above all the noise.
Tyler was sitting on the bench by the mural. I sat next to him. We didn't say a word too eachother for a good 5 minutes.
"I hit Ryan for you." I said trying to break the silence.
It didn't work, but Tyler did have a grin on his face. I knew it was going to be one of them awkward conversations, where one of us spoke and the other listened.
"I'm not jealous of Jody and Brandon. I don't know why everyone thinks I am. I'm not saying I like Brandon because I 100% don't, but I can't tell Jody that I don't like him because she's actually happy. Now that my rants over we can go back inside." He said.
It wasn't as awkward as I thought, but as soon as we went back inside the awkwardness kicked in. Jody sat there talking about Brandon to Sasha and Candi-rose. Candi-rose was fangirlling of her new ship 'Jandon' and Ryan just gave me dirty looks. Me and Tyler walked through the kitchen before getting stopped my Mike as we were passing the office.
"Jess, go back in there and apologise to Ryan."
"But."
"Just do it."
"Fine."
I walked back into the kitchen and apologised through gritted teeth, "Sorry Ryan." and walked straight back out.
"Was that, that difficult." Mike said sarcastically.
"Yes, it was."
Me and Tyler went upstairs and sat on his bed.
"Don't miss me too much today." I said.
"I won't because I'll be having the best time walking to school with Jody."
"Try and sort stuff out with her and tell her you don't like Brandon."
"Its not that easy, if I say that I could loose my best friend as well."
"Anyway, it's not like I'll be having the best day either, I'm stuck here all day with Floss."
"Rude!" She yelled from her room.
"Stop eavesdropping!" I shouted even louder.
Tyler finally cracked a proper smile and started laughing.
"Tyler. School!" May-li yelled upstairs.
I walked downstairs with Tyler.
"I'm going out with Brandon, straight after school so can you pick me up after you pick the others up please?" Jody asked.
"Yeah, Tyler I'll pick you up as well and you can come to the dentist with me and Jess." May-li replied.
"Dentist!" I exclaimed.
"Yes, you know you've got the dentist I told you ." She said getting a little bit stressed, "If you're getting dropped off at school go and wait by the minibus and if you're not leave now!"
"Good luck." I whispered into Tylers ear.
As soon as everyone left, my phone kept buzzing. Every message was from Tyler.
T- Talk to me! This is worse than you'd think.
T- Don't you ignore me aswell.
J- Sorry, me and Floss were having breakfast 😂 Where are you?
T- By Ashtons
J- Stop complaining then, you know he'll make stuff less awkward, he also does.
T- I guess.
J- Text me later.
T- Okayyyyy
Once Mike and May-li left too do the food shopping, it was just me, Floss and Tracy left in the house. Me and Floss were nearly asleep in the living room when the doors slammed open. We both jumped.
"Do you two want a dominoes later?" She asked when she walked in.
"That was a stupid question of course we want a dominoes." Floss said sitting up.
"And ice-cream right now, sounds good."
"Fine." She said leaving the room to get us ice-cream.
"I don't think, today can get any better. Dominoes later and ice cream for breakfast basically."
We both laughed and waited for Tracy to return with the Ice-cream and for her to order the dominoes. Surprisingly the day didn't drag on as much as I expected it too.
