It was the same old room as before nothing had changed. It still had the same weird blue shade I chose when I first got there. Even Kayla's side of the room hadn't changed and I'd been gone for a while. She also didn't recognize me.
When I walked into the room she greeted me, "Hey, I'm Kayla." She had a lot more confidence than I remembered.
"yeah I know," I said, she tilted her head trying to work out how I knew her, "Jess."
She hugged me straight, "I've missed you."
I smiled at her but really I was thinking that she was the only one that had actually missed me.
Scott put my stuff in the room, "I'll leave you get settled again."
I nodded as he turned around and left my room. I started to unpack when I came across a photo of me, Jack and Liam, the look of it wound me up so I pulled it out of the frame and ripped it up. Kayla didn't say nothing but I could feel her looking at me. I didn't say nothing about it either instead I finished unpacking.
"Kayla, do you wanna see something cool?" I asked pulling a drone out of one of the boxes Jack had brought.
She looked at it confused, "What is it?"
I opened the window, got the control and flew it round the garden.
"I want a go!" Kayla said taking the control off me.
She flew it carefully until it crashed into a tree. I climbed out of the window to get it. Once I got it I climbed up the drainpipe and back in.
Kayla looked at me stunned. I looked at her and smirked.
"how?" She questioned
I shrugged, "guess I'm use to escaping places, you just go for the drainpipe."
She smiled at me, held my hand and ran downstairs. She pushed me into the living room to watch a film with her, and of course Jody and Tyler were in there. We hadn't spoken in months I'd been in a different school, then back in the behavioural unit and once I did get put back into mainstream I was moved classes for a 'fresh start' well that's what the teachers were telling Scott. In reality putting me in without any friends didn't really help and it took alot of Scott persuading the school to put me back in with my friends, but that hasn't actually come into play yet.
Jody and Tyler both glared at me.
"What!" I practically yelled, my temper had also got a lot worse since going out with Jordan, but so had Jody's. She squared up to me. So I shoved her. She pushed me back and it turned into a fight. Like always I got the blame, and ended up being grounded for a week.
"you're not grounding me!" I shouted at May-li and Scott.
"We're in charge not you." May-li calmly reminded me.
"I don't care who's in charge. I'm going out tonight!"
"I don't think so." Scott said now getting involved.
"Well I think so." I left the office and went to find Alex.
As soon as I got to him he said, "No I'm not sneaking you out, you can find a different way."
"Alex come on don't be like that, sneak me out."
"Jess, no, I don't even want to go tonight, we've got school tomorrow, Scott and May-li will kill me if I sneak you out and if we come back drunk."
I rolled my eyes at him, "Spoil sport"
He replied, "This is your mess not mine, if you really wanna go you can sort it out your self and go by yourself."
Tyler was stood behind me, "Why are you so caught up in Jordan, he's using you Jess."
"He's not!" I yelled kicking his ankle and going to my room.
I layed on the bed.
"Dinner!" Scott shouted up.
I sighed and went downstairs. As I expected all eyes were on me and then on jody. I set opposite Jay and next to Alex.
"Jay pass me the juice." I said.
"what this?" He asked smirking.
I rolled my eyes, "yes"
"Okay then." he replied throwing it at me.
The table went dead silent.
I picked up my plate of food and threw it at him, before running upstairs.
I put a few things into my big, because I really didn't want to stay. I climbed out of the window and ran to Jordans. I opened the door and went in.
"thought you weren't coming." He smirked.
"I don't want to be here but I've got nowhere else to be, so I'm going in the shower."
"yeah fine."
I went upstairs and into the bathroom with my bag of clothes. I just got in the shower when the door creaked open.
"Jordan get out!" I practically yelled.
"Jesus Jess calm down, I was just bringing you a towel." he replied throwing the towel in.
"oh thankyou." I said.
He closed the door, even though I trusted Jordan, it did scare me when he walked in, but he wouldn't do anything to me I kept reminding myself.
