Chapter 10: Reconnecting Relationships + An Escape?

About 3 weeks later, the girls are sleeping in their rooms. It's about 8 in the morning, and the boys had already woken up. They get out of bed and head to the kitchen. "Okay, it's been 3 weeks, they all still seem kind of distant, but they're starting to like us again a little. What should we do?" Tyler asks.

"Let's make them breakfast in bed. Girls like that right? When a guy can cook?" Hayden suggests.

"I agree, stereotypically, girls always cook and the guys in the relationship never do. Let's cook breakfast for them and serve them while they're in bed," Jack agrees. The 3 nod and start to make food.

About half an hour later, Crystal wakes up. She looks next to her in bed and sees Hayden is gone. "Hayden? Where'd you go?" she calls for him. Hayden hears her from the hallway and calls back to her.

"I'm right here, love," he says, opening the door. He's dressed in a suit and tie, with white gloves and a towel on his forearm. He's carrying a tray with pancakes, milk, toast, and an apple. Crystal looks at him smiling, and then she starts to laugh.

"What are you doing, silly?" she asks, laughing. Hayden walks over to the bed and sits down, putting the breakfast tray on her lap.

"We made breakfast for you and your sisters. We wanted to prove and show how much we had changed over the years since high school. We're hoping this will prove it a little," he explains. Crystal moves the tray to the nightstand next to her and hugs Hayden, thanking him, then takes the tray back and starts eating. Hayden smiles and stands up, he pats her head and says to enjoy her food. He walks out of the room and closes the door. He leans against the door and covers his red face. 'She liked it... I might win her back over...' he thinks. Tyler passes him and elbows his shoulder.

"Looks like someone got a good review," he teases.

"Shut up!" Hayden replies, he shoves Tyler away and walks out of the hallway and downstairs to the living room. Tyler laughs and heads back downstairs to get the breakfast tray for Amy.

He walks back upstairs and knocks on their bedroom door. "Come in," Amy says from inside the room. Tyler holds the tray with one hand and opens the door with the other. He walks over in the same outfit Hayden was in and has the tray still in one hand.

"You're breakfast, m'lady," he says formally. He puts his free arm across his side with a towel on his forearm. Tyler holds the tray with his other hand and moves his arm down, the tray still balanced, and gives it to Amy. Amy looks at him confused but smiling.

"What are you up to?" she asks. She starts eating as he explains.

"We wanted to show we changed, so we made you and your sisters breakfast in bed to do that," he says, "Now eat your breakfast, I'll be in the living room," he walks starts to walk away. Amy moves the tray from her lap to the side of the bed and jumps up. She hugs Tyler from behind thanking him for doing this then returns to bed to continue eating. Tyler swiftly leaves the room and shuts the door. He walks down the hallway, covering his red face with one hand. He passes Jack going downstairs and Jack looks back at him. He smiles a little and continues on his way to his room where Pearl is. He knocks on the door but Pearl doesn't answer.

He opens the door and walks in to see Pearl fast asleep. He smiles and walks over, he wore the same outfit the other 2 boys did and carries the tray like how Hayden did with both hands. He sits on the side of the bed and places the try on his nightstand. He puts his hand on Pearl's shoulder and shakes her. "Wake up, sleeping beauty," he softly says. Pearl rolls over and opens her eyes to see Jack in the suit, tie, and gloves, with the towel on his lap. Her eyes widen then she quickly sits up and rubs her eyes. Jack grabs the tray of food and shows it to her. She blinks a few times and stares at him then looks at the food.
