"I thought you said seeing you was only going to be a one time thing."

"Oh great. It's you again and it's 'an'." I remark rolling my eyes slightly amused at how he still grinned at me.

"An?" the boy's eyebrows furrowed in confusion not understanding what I meant.

" I thought you said seeing you was only going to be an one time thing." I say correctly as he snickers a slight dimple appearing on his soft milky skin.

"Pretty and smart, hmpt?" he let the words roll gently off his sweet tongue and I felt my cheeks burning and flustering a bit from his words.

I didn't respond to his silly words and my eyes gazed over at the skates.

" What can I do for you, sunshine?"

" I'll need two pair of size seven skates to rent." I mutter gently as he nods walking to the rack of skates behind him checking the sizes.

"Why two? Got a date?" Harry asks still searching looking past the ones in front of him that said seven.

I leaned on the counter a bit looking off into the skating ring watching everyone chatter, dance, or skate effortlessly while some slipped on the maple wood floor or cling to the walls for support. My eyes scanned the room a bit more until I suddenly spotted the man of my dreams.

Keith.

"Um, no not really my best friend and I are here together." I sighed watching Keith skate with ease, swirling passed the ladies and then ever so slightly locking eyes with mines.

His eyes widen while his lips fell a gap all while he skated passed, he turned his head still watching me as he gently pressed his teeth down on his underlip until he smashed into the wall and devastating falling, harshly.

I cringed my eyes turning back to the boy who finally brought both of the skates to the counter. Both pairs looking close to brand new.

"Well, where is she?" Harry asked as I tried to clear my mind from Keith's fall feeling that it was my fault.

"She ditched me for a boy, I guess." I embarrassingly admitted not wanting to look at the boy.

" That doesn't sound like a good friend." Harry chuckled as I dug in my purse looking for the money to rent.

"Yeah, well she ruined my buzz too." I laugh a bit feeling comfortable talking to him, like it was easy.

"I didn't take you as the type to drink." Harry places his elbows on the table, popping his head in between.

"You don't even know me, Harry." I sighed sliding him the money.

"You're right, I don't even know your name either." he responds sliding the money back to me. I frowned at him.

"You're still not getting it, bud." I mutter not taking the money from him.

" That's fine I'll just call you sunshine or do you like bunny, instead?" he rises from his stand as I swallowed hollowly. I felt something swarming in my tummy and I wanted to smile, but I couldn't. I wouldn't.
