"What the hell is wrong with you? Didn't I tell you to stay away from him?" I shouted to Robin as we clattered down the busy walk way to the diner.Robin huffs a bit, "Billie, we're fine. He's not a bad guy." Robin states holding her bag over her shoulders.
"You don't know that."
"I do know that, we're a thing now. So at least you can do is support me on this." Robin frowns at me and I could tell I was being unfair.
"Well, why didn't you tell me you two were dating? Why must you be so secretive?" I mutter to her as cars charged passed us, on their way home I suppose.
"Let's not talk about secretive. You have yet to tell me about this little friend of yours!" Robin chuckles making me grin at her.
She's right! I would tell her, but she'd probably flip, if I confessed about Harry. On top of that, she's messing around with Tyrone.
I'm not stupid, that'll give him a chance to use her to get information about him.
Something about wanting information about my daisy friend without me knowing why angers me.
It's none of his concern if I know Harry or not.
It's no one's concerns, actually.
That's why she's not getting access into who he really is.
After a few more inches of walking we made it to Night Drive Diner.
It was the after school spot for everyone only because the milkshakes were delicious and the boys swarmed the place. Sitting in the booths with their friends, laughing and checking us girls out.
As we were walking up to the door I took a glimpse inside, see people rampaging the diner, running around and dancing. I suddenly saw something on the corner of my eye.
I turned to the street to see an all black Porsche parked.
Where have I seen that car before?
I couldn't give it much thought before Robin grabs my arm in excitement pulling through the diner's glass door.
"Mary! Diane! We made it!" she laughs loudly as I noticed them both waiting at the counter, with their lips on the straws of their yummy milkshakes.
Mary and Diane were Robin's friends and they were mines too, but they only hung around if I was with Robin.
Except, Dawn. She and I had a few classes together and when I'm not with Robin. Dawn comes and keeps me company. At lunch, during classes, or if she's up to it; she'd come over my house for a few hours.
I guess she wasn't in the mood for the diner today. My type of girl. She does what she wants and she's not the following type. I liked that about her. She was good at leaving when she was ready, not when others was.
The music blasted the diner, Floy Joy by The Supremes ringing in my ears.
I'm only one of a million girls
Who would give their world to you Floy Joy.
Floy, Floy, Floy
Floy Joy!I sang the lyrics as I slide through the crowd of teens dancing as I latch onto a girl, admiring her groovy moves.
She caught my energy and began swaying her way towards me as glide with her.
The girl smiles at me encouraging my moves as if her moves weren't the perfect sway.
Something about this song gives me butterflies and I just have to dance.
