My platforms smacked the concrete parking lot viciously as I wiped my tears. The blasting music and the sniff of weed filled the air.Teens were on the parking lot by their cars smoking and drinking, something we couldn't do inside. This was where the real party was and if I wasn't in such a bad mood I'd go have fun.
I continued walking through the parking lot, I didn't want to go home quite yet looking a mess and I wasn't in such a mood to scavenge Tyrone for a ride.
I noticed next to the roller ring was bunches of trees and without second thought I walked over there wanting to get away from the noise.
Once reaching its pathways I noticed how ducked off the area was. There was a small dock and a little lake to play in. I looked back once more then kept it moving to the dock.
Once I got to the end of it I stared out watching the full moon reflect itself on the black waters. The distant sounds were heard in sums of murmurs and you could hear the floating of the water gradually.
I wondered it was like to be the moon. The queen of the night and to have fire stars as your best friends. I'd rather be there right now.
I plopped myself down, pulling in my legs, and wrapping my arms around them like rope. I wanted to disappear for a moment just away from my life.
I stared out into the lake until my emotions overwhelmed me and I dropped my face between my knees and cried to myself.
Why did I ever thing he'd like me? Or ever in a million years give me a chance? I'm so stupid for not picking up the signs.
I cried harder to myself until I heard footsteps coming from behind me. Still, I kept my head down too afraid to look up. Figuring that it was Robin, I said nothing already wanting her to go away.
" Maybe this would have been the perfect time for those dozen daisies." a familiar husky voice spoke softly and then the light sound of moving echoed next to me. The sound of an object was placed on the dock as well.
I tilted my head to the person way to see my daisy friend again. He didn't stare at me though, but at the lake. He had on a white tank top, with a yellow and white button down. His tan kakis bagged his legs, while his rings hugged his fingers.
His curly hair laid sleeplessly on his head and again a cigarette between his ear.
" I see you found my hideout from work?" the boy says as I sniff a bit from my crying.
"What are you doing here?" I ask in a murmur still looking at him watching his eyes examine the waters and listening to the creatures of the night.
The sound of cicadas sang like sirens through the trees and the grasses and the light sound of grasshoppers sand it's chorus here and there.
" I'm off work." Harry says. " I saw you walking this way and thought you needed company."
" So, you followed me." I state in an obvious tone and he turns to me with a small grin on his lips.
"If you put it that way, that sounds a bit creepy. Don't ya think?" Harry laughs loudly making me grin a bit from his playful manner.
" Also, I thought I could help you get your buzz back since people we may not mention killed it." Harry says lifting the beer can that sat on the dock up and waving it in my face.
He was there when I snapped on Robin, hearing everything. What an embarrassment?
I stared at the can chewing away at my bottom lip in thought.
