Y/N POV
The sun was unusually bright for the time I wake up every day. I was also in my bed. Did I dream last night happened? As I opened my eyes, I saw his figure standing in the doorway. It was a damn good thing to wake up to.
"Good morning, Sunshine." He beamed. I smiled sleepily at him, then noticed the time.
"Shit! The kids and work and-" He cut me off.
"I already took care of everything. I left you a note just in case if you woke up before we got back here, by we I mean Miles and I." He replied as he sat at the edge of my bed. I really hope I didn't overstep, but after last night, you really needed a day to relax. I got everyone up and ready, with some help from Ray, and got them all to school. I have their car seats by the way. Also, your boss said he hopes you feel better, I told him you were throwing up all night." He rambled. I sat up and threw my arms around him.
"You are seriously the greatest human on this planet. Thank you so much." He chuckled and hugged me back.
"It was no trouble at all. Plus it made all five of the kids really happy." I smiled at the thought of him actually doing all of this. I pulled away and moved to stand up. "I'm going to start the coffee, okay?" I smiled and nodded to which he smiled in return.
My heart was basically beating out of my chest as he left the room. I knew I was falling for him, especially after last night. The smile I wore stayed on my face as I gathered my clothing for the day, which was a pair of plain black leggings and a red Slayer t-shirt. I made sure I showered quickly and even put on a little makeup, then headed downstairs.
Miles and Frank were sat together on the couch as I poured myself a cup of coffee, freshly made by my new favorite person.
"Y/N!" Miles exclaimed as he ran over to me. I set my coffee mug down and picked the small boy up. "Are you feeling better?" He asked as he hugged me.
"Much better, especially now that you're here!" He giggled at my reply. "You're welcome to play with Jasper and Katarina's toys if you would like." His eyes widened with joy as he nodded. I set him back down and watched him run off to the playroom. I walked back to my couch and plopped down next to Frank.
"Playroom?" He asked. I nodded in reply, which he chuckled at. "He's been wanting to go up there all morning but I said he had to ask you."
"That definitely would have been overstepping." I said sarcastically as I smirked.
"Oh, totally!" We both laughed, making it out to be funnier than it actually was. "Do you feel better?"
"A lot better, actually. It's honestly surprising how much talking can help." I replied.
"I agree. I almost feel as if a weight has been lifted off my shoulders."
We talked a lot throughout the day and really got to know each other better. We talked music a lot, our childhoods, our jobs, and a lot about the kids. We made lunch for the three of us together and even watched a movie. I can't really explain how good I felt today.
It was now time to pick the other four up from school. I buckled Miles in as Frank started the car, then got in myself. The drive there was just as nice as the entire day has been. It's amazing how much one person can affect your mood.
When we got to the school, all three of us waited outside. Miles demanded that he'd be held by me, not Frank, which made me selfishly happy. As we waited, the boy leaned over and whispered something into my ear.
"Will you please be my new mommy?" I was a little shocked, as was Frank. Miles wasn't a very good whisperer. How do I reply to this? I looked up to Frank, eyes basically pleading for help.
"Maybe someday, bud." Frank replied as he smiled brightly at me. His face turned a slight shade of pink, and I'm willing to bet mine did too.
"Yes!" Just then, Cherry, Lily, Katarina, and Jasper came running over. "Y/N is our new mommy, which means daddy is your new daddy too!" The boy yelled. The four kids gasped as Frank and I both face-palmed.
"I said maybe, Miles." Frank said as we all walked to the car. Frank and I both worked on getting the five children buckled in, our faces coming very close a few times, which made me blush. I feel like a teenager again with all this damn blushing.
Since Frank had the car seats, we went to my place first. The kids went inside to play while him and I transferred the seats back over to my car. Surprisingly, it didn't feel awkward at all, not even after what Miles said or after the others asked twenty questions in the car. Things, instead, were peaceful. Things were fantastic.
