Dean woke up to an empty bed. He couldn't help but miss the feel of Cas' body next to his, the arm he felt drooped over him, and the soft snores of his best friend. Castiel was right, him being there did help him sleep but Dean knows he can't get attached to Cas sleeping in his bed. It will probably never happen again.
Dean focused his tired eyes on the stuffed animal in front of him - a brown teddy bear that Cas bought him. He couldn't help but smile. Although it was cheesy, it was from Cas so it means everything to him. The bear had a card laying in front of it. Dean's eyes lit up, remembering he never got to read what Cas wrote for him. He quickly ripped open the envelope and began reading:
Dean, I'm sorry for being so cheesy with this card and the stuffed animal but I wanted to do something more for you. I wish that you could manage to get some sleep. I know moving is hard and I can tell you have a lot on your mind. Just remember that I am here for you and you can tell me anything. You mean so much to me so it hurts to see you unwell. I don't want you to ever feel alone. I'm here and I'm not going anywhere. You're one of the reasons I keep pushing through life. I know I can always count on you and seeing your smile makes me feel better. The highlight of my day is always seeing you. I should, however, really shut up now... You get the point. I wanted to show you how much I appreciate you and that I'm here for you. much love, Cas
Dean was smiling immensely. The card was so sweet and made him feel less alone. He's happy to know his impact on Cas and wishes he could hug him and thank him right then and there for those kind words. Sadly, Castiel was nowhere in sight.

Sam found Gabe again and handed him water before asking about what Jack said on twitter. Gabriel nearly choked on his water, "I- uh." Heat was rising to his face and he had to look away.
Sam patted him on the head and smiled, "It looks good on you. C'mon, let's go find the others." Gabe obediently followed, still unable to meet Sam's gaze.
It didn't take them long to locate Charlie and Cas. "Hey guys," Charlie greeted.
"Where's my brother?" Sam asked.
Cas looked annoyed when he answered, "running late." Sam didn't look surprised. Right before they split up to go off to locate everything, Dean finally showed up. He sprinted up to his friends, hugging Castiel when he arrived. Cas shot Dean a confused look afterward.
"It's to thank you for the card and everything else. I've been wanting to hug you and thank you since I read it but you left without me. You can't just sleep with me and be gone in the morning. That's pretty rude."
Sam spit out the water he was drinking, "wh-what?"
Embarrassed Cas blurted out, "Not like that. We just shared a bed. To help him sleep."
"Right... to help him sleep," Gabe winked.
"Yes- um," Cas started to say but Gabe, Sam, and Charlie all started to walk away, leaving only Dean and him behind.
"You look cute when you're all flustered," Dean mused before heading off to find his classes. Cas was left there bright red and very confused about what just happened.
