Later that night, Dean walked outside to find Cas sitting on the steps, glaring up the stars. Dean couldn't help but join him, sitting down beside him. "It's beautiful out here tonight," Castiel stated, his eyes trained on the starry sky.

"It really is," Dean smiled, wrapping his arm around his friend's back, Cas leaning in. "So what are you doing out here?"

"Just wanted to see the stars," Cas beamed, "it reminds me of our date that may have not been a date."

Dean chuckled, rubbing Cas' back now, "We did have a lot of fun that day. We gotta do that again soon."

"Definitely. I want to thank you for being a great friend to me. You're so sweet and comforting to be around. I just really appreciate you, Dean and I wanted you to know that." Cas said, facing Dean.

All Dean wanted to do in that moment was smash his lips against the man sitting before him. It took a lot of control to hold himself back, "I'll always be here for you, angel." Angel. He said it again without meaning to. "I appreciate you too. I'm really happy I have you in my life. You mean so much to me." Castiel smiled and pulled Dean into an embrace.

Pulling apart, Cas suggested, "Wanna head to bed? I'm getting tired." Dean nodded and stood up holding his hand out to help Cas up. Castiel gladly took his hand but didn't let go after he stood up. He held it all the way to their room but Dean didn't mind.

Arriving at their room, Dean quickly climbed into bed, letting go of Cas, and patted the spot next to him, "C'mon, Cassie get in. I don't bite. Well unless you want me too." Dean smirked and raised his eyebrows.

Cas looked confused, "You're not a dog and why would I want you to bite me?"

"Well... that's besides the point, just come here," Dean replied, getting impatient and wrapped his arms around Castiel's torso, pulling him down closer to him. He wasn't expecting it but gave in. Dean kept his arm wrapped around his friend, his legs intertwining with his as they both fell asleep.
