Shard's POV

I woke up back at my home in the battle zone, and groaned, rubbing my head. I remembered giving the person who had saved my life a battle key. One of two I had. I knew how they worked, but I can't leave the zone. The blue Sentient that had found me had given me the keys, then banished me in this zone. I sighed, sitting up. I walked over to the drawer that held the last battle key I had, and opened it, taking it out. This one was dark blue with silver, and led to an ice zone. She had told me that the zone was too dangerous for anyone to go into, and made me it's guardian. I slipped it in the special pocket I had, then looked at the picture of me and my two brothers. Spinner would be 18 now, and Sherman 17. I chuckled just a bit, thinking about how they were probably playing video games, as usual. I strode over to my bike, and knelt next to it. She was pretty dinged up, but I could fix her. I grabbed my tool set, getting to work on fixing the brakes and engine, the most common things that would break. Suddenly a voice system came on, "A portal has been opened." it said. I narrowed my eyes. Who would come back here? It's not like there was anything here. Well, except me, and this Mobi, and the ice zone battle key. Okay, I guess there were some pretty important things here.

I walked up to the bridge, looking out the windows into the zone. I could see a cloud of dust that was heading my way, and watched as the vehicle stopped. It was the boy that I had given the key to earlier that day. I watched as they started to walk around, holding his arms out in front of him. Wait, was he trying to find me? I ran down to my garage, and hid the photo of my brothers, just in case he knew them, before I opened the back door. The boy noticed this and smiled, running up to it. I kept my face straight, not really sure what to do as I saw this boy in front of me. He had the battle key in his hand, and he threw it up at me. I watched him, wondering why he did that. He seemed to notice this, and smiled just a bit at me. "It's yours." he replied. His voice was calm, as though he wasn't worried about anything. I caught it. "And how will you get back to Earth?" I asked, looking at the black key in my hands. "I don't, well. I'm not leaving without you." he said, taking off his helmet. I saw his features now. Black hair, brown eyes, with an orange and white headband. "I can't leave." I said plainly. He nodded, understanding why, and looked up at me. "I know, but I also know how to help with that." he said, smiling a goofy smile at me. I raised an eyebrow, looking up at the sky.

"Grab your bike and get in. It's dangerous out here at night." I said, turning away. He nodded, turning away to drive his bike in. I stood by the opener, and watched as the yellow and blue bike drove in. I closed it, reactivating the cloak, and stared at the young man now at my 'home'. "I know you know who I am. But who are you?" I asked, watching him. "My name is Zoom, and I'm a member of the Battle Force 5." he replied. I nodded, and noticed the symbol on his shoulder pad, "Scout I see." I said, nodding at it. Zoom looked surprised, but nodded. I stood up straight walking past him, also putting the black key in my pocket. "How did you know?" he asked, following me up to the bridge. "A Sentient banished me here 3 years ago, and I've been here ever since. They left some data logs, thinking I would never be able to read it, but I deciphered them anyway." I replied, thinking about that horrible Sentient who did this to me. "Do you mind if I ask their name?" Zoom asked. I sighed while taking a seat, he followed, and I watched his eyes, "As I said, they were a Sentient." he nodded, "Red or blue?" he asked, interrupting me. I looked down and said, "They were a blue Sentient, and her name is Sage." I spat.

Zoom gasped, and I looked up, "Sage did this to you? But why?" he asked. I raised an eyebrow, "You know her?" I asked. He nodded, "She's the one that made the Chopper." he saw the confused look on my face. What in the world is 'the Chopper'? "My motorcycle." he explained. I nodded my head slowly, finally understanding what he meant. We just sat there in silence, not really sure what to say to the other. "You said you could get me out of here?" I asked, not really wanting to get my hopes up. "Oh yeah, that band around your wrist is the one thing keeping you here. We get that off, and you're free." he said. I looked down at my right wrist, rolling up the sleeve to my leather jacket so it wasn't covering it.
