The wishes that fly from dandelions,
Are hopes bright as a hundred suns;
Wisps of loving desires rising high,
Tufts of dreams floating in the sky;
Bright, sweet and magical flower,
Mere weeds that wishes do shower;
As into the air fly the dandelions.

The above poem is in the Septilla (Spanish Septet) form.

This seven line form was originally octosyllabic (8 syllables) but now tetrameter or pentameter are equally acceptable. There is a certain amount of flexibility with this form and there is a choice of rhyme schemes with either  aabccba or abbacca or aabbcca
