I position myself on top of him, intertwining my arms around his neck, joining our warm foreheads while closing our wet eyes caused by so many tears.

I'm sorry,
I love you,
I can only tell you that.
Putting up with me is not easy,
believe me I know. 

Gratitude embraces me when you stay by my side,
even when I don't deserve it,
let alone earned it.

My eyes see I have been blessed with you,
my heart feels it,
my ears hear it
and my body knows it.

Every caress of yours has given me safety,
every kiss of yours has shown me love,
and every look of yours has opened my eyes.

You love me the way I can smell it in the flowers you hand me every morning,
or in the breakfasts you prepare for me.

Every smile of yours has drawn mine,
and every 'I love you' of yours has made me breathe in calmness .

You have taught me to love myself when I should have learned alone.
You have traveled every corner of my body and taught them that they are perfect just as they are.

You have trusted in me, my dreams and my hopes and helped me not to lose them.

My soul, you have not reached it, nor you have touched it.
You have hugged it sweetly.

You have respected me when I haven't known how to do it myself.
You have forgiven my defects and have loved them along with me.
You have tried to heal my wounds and if you have not been able to, you have felt them as if they were your own.
You have learned my scars just because you wanted to.

You have been the gravity that has kept me up.
You have been the constellation that has held me together.
A shooting star to which make wishes and know with certainty they will come true.

You have made me happy in ways I have never thought possible.
You can't imagine how selfish I feel letting you go, being stupid enough not to try harder and fight for your soul. 
For giving you what you deserve,
because you deserve the universe,
you deserve it all.
But I would feel more selfish,
staying by your side,
without loving you the way you have loved me to this point.
