Chapter 24

Alejandro woke Christi up, so she could eat dinner, his mom suggested he shouldn't wake her up, but he didn't want her to skip, causing her to maybe not eat at all.

Alejandro gently shook her awake. Christi groaned as she tried to open her eyes. She then looks up to see Alejandro. He smiled at her, she then decided to smile back at her.

"I wanna sleep.." Christi groaned closing her eyes again.
"No, come on now, it's dinner time, you need to eat something, you've slept through lunch already." Alejandro laughed. Christi's eyes widen.

"I slept through lunch??" Christi's eyes widen.
"Yep, I guess you finally got that rest you needed from staying up so late." Alejandro laughed.
"Shut up." Christi smiled. She got up, and followed Alejandro to the kitchen.

"Mija, come on now, let's eat." Alejandro's mom smiled, as Christi walked in the room. Christi sat right next to Alejandro.

Alejandro's mom made pozole. Christi never had pozole before. She had her hopes and doubts. She then filled up her plate and started to eat.

"Mhmm, this is really good." Christi's eyes widen as she continued to eat.
"Thank you!" Alejandro's mom smiled as she also continued to eat.

They finished up eating, Alejandro did the dishes while Christi just stood by, waiting or looking for a opportunity to help or do something. She then got messaged form their group chat.
