Chapter 41

The group of teenagers made their way to Christi's car. When Mattia opened the trunk, it revealed all of Christi's luggages. He grew suspicious with the amount of luggage's there was, they were only going away for a week, and Christi looked like she packed her whole bedroom, which she did.

"Christi." Mattia paused, looking at Christi. Christi looked back at Mattia, and she knew what Mattia was gonna ask.
"Okay.. uhm.. remember I wanted to tell you guys something the other day.. in the group chat.." Christi started slowly.

"Are you running away?" Alvaro went straight to the point. Christi sighed as she shook her head.
"There's something I've been hiding from you two, and Uriel.." Christi sighed, pointing at Mattia and Alvaro. They both gave Christi a confused look.

"We'll talk about it in the car, right now, let's try and get these luggages in." Mattia sighed. He then took everything out in the trunk, and continuously kept on arranging the luggages until everything fit in. Christi was a little surprised that Mattia managed to figure it out, she would've gave up and make some other plan. Everyone was then in the car, buckled up, as Christi got ready to drive them to Uriel's house.

"So, what is this you are hiding from Alvaro, and I?" Mattia asked. He was in the back of the car with Kairi and Alvaro.
"So.. I've been kinda kicked out.." Christi started.
"What do you mean kinda?" Alvaro immediately grew confused.

"Well, she gave me a choice.. we've been.. fighting for the past week.. I guess.." Christi replied to Alvaro.
"I had to choose to stay home, and like.. stay, or go with you guys on this trip.. and never come back." Christi nervously said, look back an forth from the rear view mirror and the road in front of her.

"And you chose to stay with us.." Alvaro mumbled quietly..
"I honestly don't know if it was the best decision.." Christi sighed.
"I honestly think it's best, she abuses you, Christi, and you guys have fought countless of times. It is the best decision." Kairi said, hoping to make Christi feel better about her decision.

"What?!" Mattia and Alvaro looked at Kairi who was on their left, their eyes widen.
"She abuses you?!" Alvaro added looking back at Christi. Christi nodded as she continued to drive.

"So your telling me, that Kairi knew about your mom abusing you? And we didn't?" Mattia confirmed.
"Also me.." Alejandro added. Mattia and Alvaro both sighed.

"Did El at least knew?" Mattia asked.
"No.." Christi paused. Mattia went silent.

"How long did she.. abuse you..?" Alvaro asked, nervous to hear the answer that Christi was gonna give..
"Years.." Christi answered. Mattia and Alvaro grew speechless.

"Okay.. but if she punched you in the face.. where's the bruise?" Mattia grew confused.
"Dumbass, I'm wearing concealer." Christi laughed.
"Oh-" Mattia felt stupid, everyone laughed at him.

Mattia and Alvaro later on continued to ask questions, curious on how Christi dealt with the situation for years. They knew like her mom and her had a bit of drama, but they didn't know it was bad. They were honestly disappointed for the girl, for keeping a secret from the rest of her friends, but they were in relief and happy for the girl that now she's out of that house.

"Where are you gonna stay now?" Alvaro finally asked, hoping that Christi had somewhat of a plan.
"She's moving in with me." Alejandro answered for Christi. They thought about it. Alvaro didn't one hundred percent support the decision.

"Are you sure about it? Like, you gave Christi a choice right?" Alvaro asked.
"Of course he did, when Kairi and Alejandro first found out, the suggested it, and later on Alejandro's mom got in this situation, and also supporting this decision. I'm okay Alvaro, don't worry. I'll be fine staying at Ale's." Christi explained for herself.
"Dude, it has been on our minds since Playlist." Alejandro added, to confirm.
