Chapter 48

It was the next day and Kairi, Mattia, and Alejandro are planning to show Christi around New Jersey, even though Christi have already witnessed a lot, the wanted to show her their favorite places and other activities they would do during their free time, as they made their way to their final location for the day, Christi spoke up during the silent car ride.

"How'd it go with Aliz last night?" Christi asked Kairi as Mattia parked his car at their first location.
"It was actually not weird surprisingly, he spent most of the night FaceTiming and just talking." Kairi smiled.
"Someone's crushing?" Alejandro cooed. Kairi's smiled grew bigger.

"Kairi, don't leave me now." Mattia dramatically complained.
"You already left me for Uriel, hush there." Kairi verbally attacked Mattia.
"Ouch.. okay, you have a point.. sorry." Mattia places his hand over his chest.

"By the way, did you and Uriel talked last night?" Christi looked over to Mattia.
"Of course, she asked about how you were doing, and how I was doing, then we got way deeper." Mattia explained.
"How deep?" Kairi asked as he rested his cheeks on her hand.

"Kairi, let's not start anything weird, let the two have their couple privacy." Christi laughed.
"Fine." Kairi laughed as he pouted.
"Anyways, we are here." Mattia laughed as he turned off the car engine. Everyone climbed out of the car as Christi looked around.

"This is the park from last time." Christi mentioned as she recognized the area.
"Yessir! Us three have been comping up here often since then, it's calm up here, and amazing for pictures." Mattia mentioned.
"And luckily, people barley come up here as well." Kairi mentioned as well.

"So, I could kiss you in public and no one would see to care." Alejandro then just suddenly kissed Christi, Christi kissed back.
"Hold your horses love birds, we're still here." Mattia pulled the two away from each other.
"So.. I was thinking." Christi's voice trailed off as she brought all the boys together.

"You're it, Kairi!!" Christi explained as she touched Kairi's shoulder, immediately running away, Alejandro and Mattia reacted quickly as so, leaving Kairi to laugh as he groaned. Kairi decided to chase Alejandro first. He was honestly the slowest among all the four, and he felt like it was easy. He quickly made his way to Alejandro and managed to touch him in the back.

"You're it, rat!" Kairi mentioned as he ran the opposite direction afterwards. Alejandro groaned as he looked around to see he could go after, he then spotted that Christi was near him, and made his way to Christi as slick as he could, he knew Christi was quicker than him, so he needed to be sudden. Before Christi could realize, Alejandro tapped Christi on arm.

"Now you're it!" Alejandro laughed as he ran the opposite direction. Christi quietly complained as she look to see who she could tag. She then spotted Kairi nearby and chased after him.
"Not today!" Kairi panicked as he noticed Christi coming his way. He started to run and Christi right behind him, the two were pretty equal in their speed so Christi was right on his tail. Christi then stretched her arm as she finally tapped Kairi barely on the back.

"You're it, Olaf!!" Christi yelled as she ran towards Mattia, who hasn't been tagged yet. Alejandro was near him, but he wanted to try and get Mattia tagged. He ran quickly towards Mattia, he was distracted by Christi until Christi spotted our Kairi, she ran leaving Mattia, Mattia then noticed and tried his best to run away, but he later on tripped and fell, Kairi tagged him, later on laughed his ass off, Christi and Alejandro making their way to the two.

"How the fuck did you somehow get two left feet?" Christi laughed as Mattia groaned on the ground.
"I panicked, a tiny snowman running after you like some Flash is scary." Mattia said as he got up.
"Mother fucker, shut the fuck up." Kairi said as he kicked the tall boy on the ground, Mattia groaned as Alejandro and Christi brought him up on his feet.

"Let's stop fighting now." Christi laughed as she made sure Mattia regain his balance again.
"Mattia started it." Kairi pouted.
"Yeah, whatever." Christi playfully rolled her eyes.
"Come on, let's go and get dinner out, then we could go home." Alejandro laughed quietly. The group then got there stuff together and headed back to the car.

Back at California, Christi's mom has done a lot worse without Christi. Janice drank more often, and every time she passed by the room that once was Christi's, she starts regretting her decisions more and more. She also tried to apply for another job, just so she can keep up with her taxes and bills. She stressed for the fact that she usually have Christi do all the work, and she kinda forgot what was gonna go down. As she was running her hands through her hair, her door bell rang. She got up to check who it is.

"Hey Janice.. may I come in?" The girl at the door asked. It was Uriel's mom, Carmela.
"Oh.. Carmela.. I guess you can come in." Janice said, she held the door wide open for Carmela to walk in. Carmela looked around the place, it was a mess, She hasn't personally visited Christi and Janice's place in a long time. She had no idea what was going on with the two.

"What in the world.. what's going on here?" Carmela's eyes widen as she continued to look around.
"I've been stressing out lately.. with Christi gone and all." Janice admitted. Janice and Carmela use to be close until Sam, Christi's dad, left.

"Speaking of Christi, you are aware she's all the way at New Jersey.. right?" Carmela asked.
"New Jersey? Wow.. uhm.. okay.." Janice's voice trailed off.
"You didn't know?" Carmela asked as she awkwardly looked at Janice.

"Let's say.. Christi and I got in a fight, and she decided to move.." Janice said as she attempted to grab another bottle of alcohol, Carmela took the bottle out of her hand.
"Janice.. the drinking has to stop." Carmela said, the two were silent.

"Anyways, she's like moving there? She'll come back.. right?" Carmela looked at Janice.
"Depends on her.. her rooms pretty much empty." Janice mentioned, she then plopped onto the couch, leaning back.

"What did you do Janice?" Carmela looked at Janice with her arms crossed.
"We fought a lot.." Janice replies.
"Did it got physical?" Carmela asked, Janice's eyes widen.
"No.." Janice lied.

"Are you sure?" Carmela asked again.
"No.." Janice answered.
"Janice.. y'all to me, it's been years." Carmela grabbed Janice's hands as she sat down, having Janice face her.
