Thomas's POV
I don't know what came over me, I just jumped in the river and surprisingly it wasn't as shallow as it looked from the bridge, I saw the glowing lights right in front of me going deeper and deeper and so I followed it until I realized that I wasn't out of breath even though I have been diving for 10 minutes or so plus the water pressure should have slowed me down but I was still at the same speed as before. I didn't care I just thought of this as some adventure or a dream which felt so real at least it was better than looking at the empty hospital room where I felt lonely, I kept diving until I saw something like a city, a castle and the light had passed through some barrier, how do I know this? It's obvious I have watched a lot of animes especially fantasy, so I'm not surprised but the fact that I am one of the characters makes me feel kinda weird but also exhilarated, the adrenaline rushing through my blood. Although I was getting a bit scared as to what to do with the barrier, would I be able to pass it? Would I have to procure some magic item or recite a spell? As I approached the barrier I was gaining speed I closed my eyes and I felt the barrier pressing against me, I somehow managed to enter without bruising, I checked myself and I was alright but not everything could go right. I was still speeding up! and the light, I had lost sight of it! I didn't want this dream to end like this, I was gonna end up crashing into a building... at least I wouldn't die or get hurt since it's a dream I told myself and closed my eyes...
Just as I was about to collide someone or something grabbed me by my shirt's collar and saved me, I was gonna turn and thank them but I was being pulled away and didn't get a chance to even look at it, the speed was unbelievable or should I say 'unbelibubble', anyways puns aside I thought about creatures which were so fast under such deep waters but nothing came to mind or properly fit the description because the grip was gentle not like a sea monster's teeth would be. Suddenly we came to a halt and I was knocked unconscious as I hit my head on some hard surface, the last thing I saw before blacking out was a girl.
Author's POV
"Ughh" he whined as he held his throbbing head, he looked around only to find himself in someone's bedroom, he was lying on a soft bed with pink silk sheets and the room was pink too baby pink to be specific. He was so confused, the only thing he knew was he was in the creature's room until he saw a family photo and confirmed the creature wasn't a creature but "a human living underwater?" he said in a confused tone; there was a window which was without any glass 'I could escape from there' he thought, however, as he tried to leap out an invisible barrier stopped him and so he tried again and again until he understood it was of no use. He got up and was frozen by the view, so many bright lights and not like the one he followed but street lights and lights of houses and apartments, it was like a whole bustling city underwater, he was left in awe; "wow, what an ethereal view" he said with his eyes wide open and mouth forming an 'o' shape.
The door of the room creaked...
