"Zachary Herron?" He gets up.

"Doctor Milan is waiting for you."

He gets in the office and greets the doctor.

"Zachary Herron." He says nervously.

"Alana Milan." They shake hands. "Sit down please."

Zach complies and fiddles a bit with Jack's hoodie sleeve.

"So Mr. Herron, tell me about yourself."

"I'm twenty years old, I come from Dallas, Texas, i have two siblings-"

"What are you doing California? Texas is still a bit far."

"I was kicked out for coming out to my parents as bisexual."

"Do you still keep contact with your siblings? Tell me more about them."

"They usually call me. My younger brother, Ryan, is seventeen so he obviously have a phone, but my younger sister, Reese, is only nine."

"How did you felt after being kicked out?"

"I felt relieved I showed them this big part of me but it was...heartbreaking to not be accepted...I didn't feel loved by my own parents. They made me pack and leave my siblings and the warmth of my home for being me."

"How did you get back on your feet?"

"I met my best friend, Christina, she...asked me why I was crying, I explained it and she offered to stay with her...she literally saved my life." He smiles softly.

"How old were you?"

"It was a few days before I turned eighteen." The doctor nods and writes on her notebook.

"Did you have any boyfriends or girlfriends?"

"Yes...I had two girlfriends and...three boyfriends."

"How long was the longest relationship?"

"Eleven months...he...proposed to me, he said that he couldn't live without me...he told me everything I wanted to hear...but two days later he committed suicide and wrote me a letter, saying he faked what he felt for me."

"What was his name?"

"Roy."

"How did you cope with that?"

"I locked myself in my room for days, without eating and cried, then I ate a lot for days and started to hate myself so I worked out until I felt satisfied with the way I looked...and I moved on and now I met someone who deeply cares about me and likes me."

"What's their name?"

"Jack. We started off on the wrong foot but now we're going so well...he even got me a puppy today." He smiles.

"Tell me more about Jack."

"He's so sweet and makes me laugh, a lot...he makes me feel good about myself, his hair is amazing...and he's so self deprecated and... surprisingly humble. He always makes sure I'm okay, he kisses me a lot, he loves when I cook, I love hearing him talk...everything feels right with him."

"Does he know about Roy?"

"No...I can't tell him."

"Why not?"

"Because he reminds me so much of Roy but I don't want Roy, not anymore. I want Jack. I can't break his heart by telling him he reminds me of my ex-fiancé. I don't have it in me." She nods and scribbles down on her notebook.

"Are you and Jack intimate?"

"Not on a physical level. Not yet, at least. But our personalities together are perfect, we're always laughing and joking with each other and I believe that's much more important than physical intimacy."

"And you're correct Mr. Herron, that is very important."

"Call me Zach, please... I'm younger than you ma'am." They chuckle.

"Okay...Zach...Do you love Jack?"

"I guess...me and him had a rough patch where he confessed his feelings towards me and admitted he was in love me and I admitted too."

"Did you say that because you didn't want him to feel bad?"

"No, definitely not...I feel the same...he makes me feel...whole...he makes me feel so good and safe."

"Jack seems like a good guy, I'm glad you found him." He smiles. Someone knocks on the door three times.

"I'm afraid our time is up Zach...until our next consultation I want you to write down everytime you have the need to self isolate or anything similar to that...and perhaps tell Jack about Roy."he nods.

"And if you can, bring Jack with you okay?"he nods again.

"Thank you Doctor."

"Call me Alana, I'm not that old." They chuckle as they shake hands.

Zach goes to the counter and schedules another appointment.

"Thank you, have a nice day."

"You too darling." The woman at the desk smiles.

Zach walks to the car and sighs.

"That was some intense sharing." He dials Christina's number, puts in on speaker, turns on the car and drives to the gang house.

"Hey! How did it went?"

"It was good...I told her about Roy and Jack."

"You told her about Roy? I'm proud Zach."

"She wants me to tell Jack about him...but I'm scared...what if I fuck it up? I like Jack, a lot...like a lot...and I cannot stress this enough."

"You know he likes you too, he wants you to be happy."

"How would you feel if Corbyn told you, hey I dated a guy for eleven months, he proposed to me and then committed suicide for God knows what?"

"I would feel sad for him and I would talk with him."

"You're thinking in your logic, you need to think in Jack's logic, a impulsive person whose reaction is pretty much unpredictable."

"You want me to ask Corbyn about it? It would help preparing you." He parks the car.

"I don't know...I just need to think more about this okay? I got home already, I love you Chrissy."

"Love you too." He hangs up and walks in the house, only to be greeted with Jack playing with the puppy on the floor.

"Hey cuties." The dog ran up to him and Zach picked it up, scratching his head and letting him lick his face.

"Hey beautiful...how did it went?"

"It went good actually...I feel kinda better."

"I'm happy for you." Jack pecks his forehead.

"Don't think I'm crazy or something like that but... I went to a... therapist...because Christina is worried about my coping mechanisms and I didn't want to worry you." Jack hugs him, as best as he could with a puppy in the middle of them.

"It's okay to ask for help and it's okay to get help...I don't like you any less okay?" Jack pecks his forehead.

"Do you wanna...go with me to the next session? I kinda talked about you."

"Hopefully only good things."

"About you? Never." Zach smiles and kisses him.
