Walking into gym, we were all ushered to the locker rooms to change. I took a stall and changed quickly, ignoring the scars that zig zag all over my body. I felt a little exposed in the tight shorts and shirt. No sleeves or hood to hide me from the world.
So even though I know nobody really see's me I wrap my arms around my waist. I sit away from the group on the outside and keep my head down until the coaches direct us.
"Oy, I love your hair! What dye do you use to get all those different colors!? Who is your stylist because I would love to have them do my hair! And teach me!" Gabriel asked rapid fire while sitting beside me.
"I've never d-dyed my hair before"
"What the fuck!? Girl, I'm truely jealous then. For that chameleon hair to be natural..." I look over to see a wide smile and excitement in his eyes.
I give him a small smile before ducking my head again.
Just then the coaches call for our attention.  "I'm Coach Jay and here beside me is Coach Miller. Today we are going to do some stretching and run." The female coach tells us. Some students groan before the male Coach Miller continues. "We need to see what kind of shape y'all losey bunch are in. Then by tomorrow you will be in groups that are around the same shape. Now let's stretch and then go to the field."

When the coaches said running they were serious. They set us all into our places and told us to run around the field five times. Which would be five miles total. I didn't worry though. Because I've trained myself to run alot longer.
Running cleared my mind. And woke my body. The only taste of freedom I'll have. So as I began to run I hadn't even noticed that everyone else's pace was slower. I didn't notice I was running ahead. And before long I was a mile ahead of everyone except Gabriel and Nathan.
I was surprised at how in shape they were. Although Nathan looks like he runs as often as I do. I decided to take myself out of my comfort zone as I spoke. "We are almost done. This probably means we will be in the same group."
Gabriel smiles,"Hell yeah! I wouldn't want any of them slowing me down in anything."
I let out a small giggle at his enthusiasm.
I see the end where the coaches are and start full blast running. Putting everything I had into staying ahead of the boys. I could hear their steps a few paces behind me. Trying to keep up. But before they get the chance I'm already slowing down with the high of winning.
Coach Jay looks me over and nods approvingly. "Well you three will be in your own group. Otherwise you'll be forced to hold back. Very good. Any of you want to join track?" We all nod our heads no. "Very well. If you change your mind though... You know where to find me. Now go shower and change. We have a few minutes left of class before we can all head home anyways"
I rush to the water fountain and gulp down several sips. Then head to the locker rooms. I rush through a shower to clean myself of the sweat, then throw on my clothes. By the time I finished the girls are all in here crowding and changing. I keep my head down to avoid gazes.
I couldn't leave the locker room yet, because there was girls blocking my way and I didn't want to disturb them. So by the time I could finally leave, most of the girls were gone. I head out of the gym before relizing I left my towel in the locker room. So I rushed back to grab it.
After stuffing it in my bag I walk out and hear commotion. So I carefully peek my head around the corner. That's when I see about ten boys holding Gabriel and Nathan down. And as much as they try to struggle, there's just too many. I gently drop my bag when I hear one of the boys call Gabriel a Faggot. Anger washes through my body.
I know I don't know these boys, but they're the first people to actually talk to me. With no insults or punishments.  No lashing out or shoves. They all were actually really sweet.
Before I could second guess myself, I yelled out to the main guy insulting the kind boys. "Hey! What are you!? Chicken? Cause it seems to me that y'all know you couldn't take them one on one so you decided to jump them! Like pansies!"
All the guys turn wide disbelieving eyes my way and it takes all I have to not slouch and tuck my head away.
I glare at the biggest of the guys as he stomps to me. "Listen here little girl, Walk away now and act like you see nothing, and then you won't have to worry about getting yourself hurt"
I scoff,"No. They don't deserve to be hurt just because you decided you need something to keep you occupied. Find a job. Or a sport. Dont go around being a bully."
Next thing I know the guy crushes his fist into my face, sending me stumbling hard into the ground. But he doesn't realize that I'm use to pain. That his punch felt weak in comparison to the punishments I get at home.
So when he turned his back to walk back over to the group, he never saw me coming.
I figure now would be the best time to try out a little bit of my self defense.  So I run and slam my heel into his back. He stumbles to the ground. I wait for him to stand back up. He turns to me, anger in his eyes and rushes towards me sending his fists flying. I dodge his hits as I begin kicking and throwing my punches into him. I even got to try some of the krav maga. Definitely a bonus. But within a few moments I have him on the ground unconscious.
Then next thing I know there's about four guys flying at me. A few blows land on me, but once again I block and dodge.  I throw all my readings and practice together and minutes later Five boys are laying around me.
I shrug and walk towards the last of the boys. They stare at me for a few seconds before letting Gabriel and Nathan go and running. I scoop up my bag and start walking out of the gym when Gabriel and Nathan shook out of the shock.
"Wait! Sang. Please!" Nathan yells out. I glance back and pause. I wait for them to catch up.
"H-how did you fight like that?" Nathan asks in awe.
I blush and stated 'From reading'.
"Theres no fucking way Trouble."
"Will you come over to Kota's with us?" Nathan asks timidly. I look down at my feet a moment before mumbling.
"I-I'd have to check in at home first"
"That's fine. When you come over we could get into something fun!!"
"Oy, after I play with her damn hair!"
                            ● ● ●
I rush inside and drop off my bag. I quickly clean up the kitchen and make sure to lay a snack out for Marie. Then I rush outside and across the street to the house that Nathan directed me to.
I nervously knock on the door as I slip my hood off.
But who answered it was a unfamiliar face. This guy had a blue eye and a brown eye making his features unique.  He was medium build and had soft looking light hair. I duck my head at his grin. "Hi there bambie! You must be Sang. I've heard so much about you in the past half hour! Come on in. Everyones in the dining area. My names Marc." I nodded before following him. Walking in the hallway and taking a left into a large room theres a table big enough to seat at least twenty people. And in many of those seats are faces I reconize, and a few that I do not. I'm ushered into a chair at the head of the table and immediately bow my head down.
To my right was a guy bigger than Silas. With strong jaw and longer black hair. His features more Russian. Then to my left is Kota. He gives me a reassuring smile as he calms the room.
"Alright guys, lets go around and introuduce ourselves to Sang. She just moved here yesterday with her family across the street." He then looks back at me, green eyes shining. "I'm Kota"
Beside Kota was Luke, then a boy with bright cheerful blue eyes and light brown hair, named Corey. Then North, Silas, then Corey's twin brother Brandon, they look just alike but Brandons are had more pain behind them. More emotion. Then diagonal from Brandon was Victor, Nathan, Gabriel, and Marc. Then beside me was the huge guy named Raven. He beams at me and asks, "Do you like fruit?"
I blush and nod my head yes as the rest of the guys burst out protests. Which made no sense for such an innocent question. But Raven now had a mischievous gleam in his eyes.
