■ Kota's P.O.V ■

I look over the seats of the bus, trying to find room for me and Nathan. Thats when my eyes land on a girl with pale skin and bright green eyes. My heartbeat jumps as she looks away just as fast. And I barely shake myself out of shock. I point the seat out to Nathan and we move.
Two, four, six, eight... I count to settle my over beating heart. I plop onto the seat and slide over next to the green eyed girl. She pushes herself closer to the window and I slide all the way into my seat. Then just as my leg touches hers, she jerks away and makes herself as small as possible.
I glance over at Nathan, to see if he noticed. He nods and looks back to the girl. I shake my head in dissapointment. At whoever made her fear the smallest touches. Then without thinking I speak.
I tell her mine and Nathan's name as she looks up from beneath her hood. Her small smile makes my heart pace. And her voice was spoken so softly, I could hardly hear her.
Those four letters. I already know they'll change my life forever.
Sang. She is the moat beautiful girl, that I have ever seen.

■ Nathan's P.O.V ■

When Kota pointed to the only seat that wasn't over flowing with kids I was immediately alert of the suspicious figure. All the movies warn you that the one trying to blend into their surroundings are the ones who hide the nastiest secrets. I couldn't tell from shape, if this person was male or female. So I just put an assumption of a dude. He was a small thing. He must be a freshman this year.
Kota slid into the seat and I quickly followed and I seen the very thing that tears my heart. The boy flinched away. I share a look with Kota. Only nodding in confirmation. His eyes probably echoed mine. In sadness. We been there. Flinching away from touches. Shying from the smallest noise. But then we met our brothers. And we healed ourselves together.
We were given worth. We proved that we belonged. I will never regret it.
But looking at the reaction the small boy gave. It tossed me back to when dad use to hit me. Or throw alchohol bottles at my head.
I frown at the memories for only a moment before Kota's voice rings out our introductions to the kid.
I watched in silence. And when wide green eyes met mine, I almost jerked back in surprise. This wasnt a boy, as I expected. This was a beautiful girl. With pain written in her eyes. Her voice was soft and silky. Her blonde hair hanging in waves underneath her hood.
She was just so small. Like a penut. Just looking at this girl, Sang, made me relize what was missing in my life. And I hadn't even known I wanted it. Her.
So when she looked away, I missed her gaze immediately. And that's when I knew... I wanted to protect this little penut from the world.
