Draco's POV
Mr. Johnson led my mother and me to the Hogwarts Express. As soon as I went through the barrier, Pansy ran to me and wrapped her arms around my neck.
"Oh, Draco, thank Merlin, Blaise and I were worried we would have to be alone this year." she said, and I could hear the grin in her voice.
Mr. Johnson cleared his throat. "Mr. Malfoy, I'm afraid I can't stand here all day watching you and your mother. I do have a job." He said.
I pushed Pansy away and turned to Mr. Johnson, about to say some well chosen words, but my mother silenced me with a look.
"Have a good term, darling." she whispered, hugging me tightly.
I smiled. "I will." I said, knowing full well I probably wouldn't. Everyone was sure to hate me, especially since I had fled when Harry had 'died.' Merlin, when I had seen him in Hagrid's arms...
"Okay." my mother inturupted my thoughts. She kissed my forehead lightly and nudged me toward the train. "Good luck, Draco. Send an owl if you need anything!"

Harry's POV
"Harry!" Hermione cried, jumping into my arms, Ron smiling behind her.
"Good to see you mate." he said, smiling from ear to ear.
"Oh, Harry, how was your summer?" Hermione asked, pulling away from me and leading me to the train.
"Fine." I sighed. "Sorry I didn't come over, I just needed some time." The Weasleys had invited me over for dinner many times over the summer holidays, but I could just never bring myself to go.
"Hey, it's fine." Ron said, laughing slightly. "But mum was going crazy, she kept demanding what I had done to offend you."
"Ronald!" Hermione huffed. "Don't make him feel bad!"
"Why would he feel bad?" Ron asked.
"No idea." I said, laughing.
"Here, this one is empty." Hermione opened a compartment door, and ushered us in.
"So, how are Ginny and Luna?" I asked, once we were all sitting together. Ginny and Luna has gotten together last year, after I had broken up with Ginny for her safety. I was happy she had been happy during school, but slightly upset she had moved on. Perhaps it was all for the better.
Ron pulled a face. "Oh, they're fine. Great actually. Kissing any second they can."
"No they're not." Hermione said, rolling her eyes. "They kiss a perfectly normal amount."
"Uh huh." Ron sighed, drawing Hermione closer. She giggled when he pressed his mouth slightly against hers.
"Hello?" I said, rolling my eyes. "Oh, get a room."
Hermione pulled away, laughing lightly. "Is there a room on this train? Because if so, I would love to." Ron grinned at Hermione and I fake-gagged in my seat.
Suddenly, the compartment door opened.
"Do you mind if we join you?" came the familiar voice of Pansy Parkinson. "It's just that, all the other compartments are full."
Ron, Hermione, and I all looked toward the door.

Draco's POV
I was standing behind Blaise, unable to see who was in the compartment. But because if the hint of worry in Pansy's voice, I guessed it had to be a group of Gryffindors.
"Please?" Pansy asked again.
"Sure." a girl's voice said. A very familiar girl's voice. Oh no.
"Thank you." Pansy slipped into the room, Blaise going right after her. I hesitated. Could I do this? I didn't really have a choice. I slipped into the room and sat next to Weasel.
"So, you guys decided to come back, eh?" Weasel asked, a hint of annoyance in his voice.
"Yes." Blaise said sharply. I glanced at him. He was sitting next to Harry. Harry. Oh, Merlin, what was I going to do?
"Why exactly?" Weasel demanded, the hint of annoyance becoming more pronounced.
"Ronald!" Granger scolded, slapping his arm lightly.
"What?" Weasel asked, sounding honestly curious. "I want to know!"
"Right, I'm gonna take a-a walk. Yeah, a walk." Harry said, standing.
"Harry, sit down." Granger demanded. Harry grumbled something under his breath, but he sat. "Sorry, they're very immature." Granger glared at Harry and Ron.
"It's fine." Pansy said, her cheeks tinted pink.
"Yeah, we're used to it by now." I said, more to myself than to anyone else.
"Oh, I'm sorry, it's just horrible." Granger said, burying her head in her hands.
"What is?" Blaise asked.
"The way you all are treated. It's not like you can't change!" Granger bit her lip and fell silent. I stared at her in shock.
"I'm taking a walk." Harry said firmly, getting up. I glanced at him, taking in his appearance. He looked fine, really, he looked great. His jet black hair was a mess, but somehow it still looked good. His tan skin looked soft. But his eyes. Merlin, his eyes. They were a beautiful bright green, and had a strange twinkle in them, like he was always happy. I still remembered that day in Malfoy Manor, when they had brought Harry in and asked me if it was him. I had known right away, of course. I could never forget his eyes. But I hadn't told them. Because I had a bit of a problem, and I had had it for a long time.
I had a crush on Harry Potter.
