Harry's POV

I slipped out of the compartment. I needed some air. Plus, it was awkward to be that close to Parkinson and Malfoy. Parkinson because she had called me out during the war, saying that someone should turn me in to Voldemort. And Malfoy because I had saved his life for some reason. And not only had I saved his life, I had pulled him into my broomstick. And liked how it felt to have his body pressed against mine!

Merlin, it's weird to think about. I couldn't help wondering why I would ever feel that way. It didn't make sense.

I shook my head in an attempt to clear it. Dwelling on the past was not going to help build a better future.

"Oh, hi Harry." Luna said dreamily, walking up to me. "What's going on? Why aren't you with your friends in your compartment?"

"Um, I just needed some air." I said.

"Oh, of course." Luna said, setting her hand lightly on the wall. "Do you want to sit with Ginny, Neville, and I? I mean, Seamus and Dean are with us, but they're your friends too, right?"

"Yes, that'd be great, Luna, but unfortunately I have a feeling Ron and Hermione would be upset if I left them. You see, a few Slytherins are in there, and we aren't exactly friends."

"Oh, okay Harry." Luna said. "Have a nice time. Although, I would stay away from the hall three compartments down, there are a ton of Danlies down there."

"What are Danlies?" I asked, confused.

"Oh, they're very similar to wrackspurts, except instead of making your brain go fuzzy, they mess with your emotions, making you not be able to tell the difference between love and hate, sadness and happiness, and all that stuff." Luna said, smiling. "Anyway, I better get back to Ginny."

I smiled as Luna left, noticing the way she brightened more than usual when she said Ginny's name. They really loved each other. And the strange thing was, I didn't even really feel jealous anymore. Ginny was happy, and that's all that mattered to me.

Draco's POV

When Harry slipped out of the compartment, everyone stopped talking. Then-

"Oh, he's such a child." Granger huffed. "Can't even stay in the compartment." Blaise chuckled lightly.

"So, what do you guys usually talk about on the train?" Pansy asked, obviously trying to force a conversation.

"Well, nothing very interesting." Granger said. She bit her lip before continuing. "I mean, usually something happens over the summer to Harry and he tells us about that, but... nothing's happened this summer, I don't think. And anyway, Harry isn't here."

"We could play a game." Blaise suggested.

"What sort of game?" Weasel demanded.

"Uh, two truths and a lie, maybe? We don't know each other very well, and that could help." Pansy said. "Or we could play exploding snap? I have that in my bag."

"Yeah, that could be fun." Granger said, looking at Weasel. "What do you think?"

"Sure, why not? But I'm only playing exploding snap, mind you, I don't want to tell any more about myself than I have to." Weasel answered. And so, smiling slightly, Pansy grabbed the stuff we needed for exploding snap.

About two minutes into the second round, Harry came back in. He looked slightly flustered.

"Hi, sorry, I just needed some-are you guys playing exploding snap?" he asked, his eyes widening just a little bit, as though he couldn't believe we had chosen to play a game instead of hex each other into oblivion.

"Yeah, do you want to join? You'd have to wait until the next round though." Granger said.

Harry smiled. "Yeah, sure I'll join." He quickly slipped back to his seat by Blaise.

~after the train ride~

I got quite the surprise when I looked at the usually horseless carriages. They were being pulled, not by horses, but by weird, skeletal, winged, horse thingies. I couldn't explain them. Granger's eyes widened when she saw them, and Weasel jumped into the air. Pansy looked shocked, but Blaise didn't. It was like he had seen them before.

"Are those-" Granger said, pointing at the weird-slightly terrifying horses.

"Yes." Harry inturupted. "Thestrals."

"Oh, mate, those are not easy on the eyes." Weasel said, looking slightly horrified.

"Tell me about it." Harry mumbled. "Come on." he jumped into the carriage. Everyone followed him in.

Okay, I know what you're going to say. WHERE'S THE DRARRY?!! Don't worry, it's coming. I just-some of the books randomly smash them together, and I want it to be as realistic as possible. Which means there WILL be bumps along the way, (and I'm planning on a full on crash *smirks*) and that they need to get closer now. Other than that, I have nothing to say, so

Until I update again, fellow Drarry shippers!
