Chapter 19

Okay, I don't usually do this at the beginning-but I just realized that this story went from multiple characters to three. Goodness. Anyway, this chapter is going start to bring back all the characters from the beginning, and then some more. Just wanted to let you guys know.

Harry's POV

That night the nightmare was, well, different from the usual. I managed to fall asleep around four AM.

I stood in the room with all the names once more. I stood, then felt a light hand on my shoulder. I knew who it was without turning around.

"Draco," I said, smiling.

Draco slipped his hand into mine, and wheeled me around to face him. Suddenly we were kissing, not unlike the first time we had, which happened to have been earlier that night.

I kissed back with just as much force as Draco.

"Harry!" Joshua's strangles voice pulled me away from Draco. "How could you? I thought-I thought you loved me!"

"I-" I didn't know what to say. Draco stood silently next to me, not moving a muscle.

"Harry. I thought you were like James. But you cheated? I didn't think you would do something as horrible as that." That was Sirius' voice.

I whirled around and stared at him. He looked disappointed, which was worse than if he had been angry.

"Harry Potter? A cheater?" Remus' voice asked, sounding shocked. "I thought you were better than that."

Suddenly the room was full of people's voices, all of them telling me how disappointed they were. They said I should break up with Joshua. But I couldn't-Joshua was so great, so kind-and Ron and Hermione approved, and they would never fully approve of Draco.

So why did the thought of losing him hurt more than the thought of losing Joshua?

Draco's POV

I didn't fall asleep until four AM. And I woke up shortly after, due to nightmares that were only getting worse.

I had dreamt about sixth year.

Harry and I were fighting, dueling. I tried to get good aim.

Then it happened. The strange feeling of utter hopelessness lost as I looked into Harry's emerald green eyes. But they weren't emerald green.

They were a vivid bright red. His skin was no longer tan, but grayish. And his nose was flat with snake-like pupils. This was my out.

"Cru-" I started.

Then I felt it. The burning sensation in my chest. Someone was yelling about a murder, and Harry was no longer red eyed and flat nosed. And I knew he had never been. I had just been so desperate for a way out, that I had turned someone as good and kind as Harry into the evil, soulless Voldemort.

Neville's POV

I woke up at around seven AM and glanced around the room. Ron was snoring loudly, Harry was sleeping with a grimace on his face, and Blaise was strangely still. He was awake.

"Blaise!" I hissed. He grinned and rolled out of bed, flattening his hair.

"Yes my love?" Blaise asked, sitting next to me on my bed.

I turned bright red. I had had a crush on Blaise since sixth year, and it was strange that my feelings were reciprocated.

"We should get everyone together tonight and play truth or dare." I said after a moment. Blaise seemed to think about it for a moment. Then-

"Yes, that sounds fun. All the eighth year's?"

"Yup."

"Cool. Now, let's go down to breakfast, then after we'll go visit Draco." Blaise said. I nodded. I had a sinking feeling that Joshua's little sister, Jeniffer, was in on what was happening to Draco, but I couldn't tell Harry that. Jennifer had been crossed off the list first, seeing as she was Joshua's little sister.

After breakfast, Blaise and I hurried up to the hospital wing.

"Hey Draco." Blaise said, sitting next to Draco.

"Hi," Draco answered, his voice weaker than normal. He looked like he hadn't slept much.

"You okay?"

"Uh huh."

"What happened?" Blaise asked. Draco glanced at me nervously.

"Yeah, okay. I'll go." I said, leaving the room quickly.
