Harry's POV

The Hogsmead trip was two days before Christmas break. Draco and I were standing, waiting for Filch to finish checking off everyone's names.

"Done. Now go." Filch said in his throaty voice. I glanced at Draco once before stepping out into the sun.

"So, where to first?" Draco asked once we arrived in Hogsmead.

"Well, where do you usually go?" I asked, unsure of where to go myself.

Draco shrugged. "I don't know-usually I just walk around and go in wherever there's something that interests me."

"Hmm." I nodded. "Let's do that then. It sounds better than what I usually do."

Draco glanced at me, a small smile on his face. "What do you usually do?"

"Meet people, recently." I said. "Or get hunted." I was only half joking.

"Well, I think it's time you just did some shopping. You need a new wardrobe anyway." Draco said, grinning. I laughed and allowed Draco to pull me away to some shop.

The shop was full of different colored robes and muggle clothes. Draco dragged me over to the far wall where all the green stuff was.

"What? No, Draco, green?" I said, the grin on my face kind of ruining the protest.

"Yes-they'll match your eyes." Draco said without looking back. "Or would you rather something that made your eye pop?"

"I'd rather something that wasn't Slytherin oriented."

"Honestly Harry-red is not your color. You look like a Christmas present half the time." Draco said, turning and handing me a dark green robe. "Try that on, and then we can talk."

"I-"

"Go." Draco pushed me toward the changing rooms.

"Fine." I said, closing the curtain.

Draco's POV

Harry came out of the changing room about five minutes later. The robes I had picked made his eyes pop, but were also green, which made me happy. It looked-right. As though he were supposed to be a Slytherin.

"Is it that bad?" Harry said, breaking me away from my thoughts. "I've never really worn green before..."

"Shut up, Harry, you look great!" I said, smiling. "We are buying those."

"Okay," Harry answered, smiling as well.

Who knew? If you had told me last year that I would be going on a date with Harry Potter, I would have called Saint Mungo's so you'd be in a ward for insanity. But here I was, enjoying my day.

Harry's POV

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. We went to the Three Broomsticks, Zonko's-Draco had never been there before, which was crazy but not surprising considering his family-we bought last minute Christmas gifts, and we visited the Shrieking Shack. I told him about the time Sirius had asked me to live with him. The memory made me wish my godfather were still alive, because I had so many questions and because he loved me more than the Dursley's ever did. Well, Dudley turned out alright at the end.

"Well, we'd better hurry back. Pansy'll have our necks if we're late for game night." Draco said, grabbing my hand and leading me back down the road.

"Wait..." I said. "There's one more thing I want to do." Draco looked down at me quizzically.

I reached up and pulled his head down toward my lips, and we shared our second kiss.

🦁🐍

3rd Person POV

Neither of the boys would ever tell each other what they felt when they kissed for the second time, not even long after it took place. Because those are the sorts of feelings one can't explain, those are the sorts of feelings that can only be felt.

And they were.
