A/N: Hi reader who actually kept reading after the first chapter! Again, this chapter is a bit of a filler, but the rest of the chapters after this one will be quite a bit more interesting. Plus, there might be quite a bit more character writing involved, so stay tuned! And don't forget to comment and vote.... Seriously, it would be much appreciated. So, enjoy reading luv <3

"They are the hottest guys in school, but Aimee, trust me you don't want to be around them. I dated the red haired guy, Michael and his reputation ruined me. My grades dropped, and I was so caught up in him I was basically ignoring my friends and family. You don't need him." She replied in a tone so caring I had no choice but to believe her.

Eventually, after like, thirty seconds of me just standing there biting my lip and staring at the guys, Luke looked up. Oh shit. Now, he's getting up. Turn around, Luke. Go inside the principal's office. Don't notice me. Crap. Crap. Crap. He's walking towards me. Should I look away? Or keep the eye contact going until he gets to me? Why am I so awkward? Grrr.

"Hey, I'm Luke. You're new."

Wow, he really gets to the point.

"Yeah, it's my first day actually. My name's Aimee.", I replied in what I thought was a sexy voice. Again, I'm SUPER awkward in social situations. But at least I'm actually talking.

"I like your name, Aimee." The emphasis he put on my name was probably the hottest thing any guy has ever said to me.

"I like yours. " I seriously hope he doesn't think I'm demented.

"See you at lunch?"

Shit. I look to Rosie who was giving me a nod and squint which I assumed was saying, "play it cool". He was making me pretty self conscious and insecure, so I tried my best to get the upper hand of the conversation. I decided to say "maybe" slowly, my eyes looking him up and down. Wow, he's actually really handsome. You could melt in his eyes, they're the colour of paradise. You could run your hands through his hair, it was quiffed in a way that made it catch the light and look like gold. And his height, yeezus. He was so much taller than me, even though I'm 5'8. This boy is model material.

The word clung to the stiff hallway air around us and the right corner of his mouth turned up in a smirk. Damnit, I'll never get the upperhand with him. Ugh. I turn around after I realise we've been staring at each other for a good minute, and walk the short distance to the front desk. After receiving my locker number, combo, and schedule, Rosie helps me find my locker. I thank her, remembering she told me she had to hand something in to her teacher. The moment I try opening my locker, I just end up fiddling with it because the darn code was so hard and I see a tall figure approaching me out of the corner of my eye. Don't look over, Aimee. He walks right up to the locker next to mine, and looks over to me. In the same voice I heard only moments ago, I hear, "Would you like some help, love?"

Sweet baby jesus, this boy is smooth.

"Uhm, sure. Here's the combo.", I say handing him the piece of paper. Thankfully, our hands don't touch, because that would have been extremely awkward.

He opens my locker with ease, then opening his without giving back my locker code. Once opened, he reaches inside and brings out a pen. Now, why would he need that? He swiftly writes down his phone number on the back of the paper and promptly hands it to me.

"Thanks.", I say attempting not to be flustered. The things this boy is doing to me, oh my god.

"Whatever. See you later, gator."

And with that extremely corny line, he made his way to his next class.

As I hurried to grab my things and make it to first period which I think is science, on time, I hear the bell. I quickly find a seat, not looking at the person beside me because social awkwardness and eye contact do not mix. The teacher notices me and asks me to stand up and give a quick introductory.
