Chapter seven: almost busted

"Why did it take you so long to finally kiss me? " Marinette asked resting her head on his shoulder "I was waiting for the right moment, " he told her 'actually it was because I was worried that another Guardian would see and I'm not supposed to fall in love in you, but I did and I still love you. ' He thought to himself "you shouldn't have waited that long but I still love you kitty, " Marinette said smiling, it felt good to smile since she hardly had today. "I know princess I love you too," Cat Noir said, he could feel her head beginning to fall, but what he didn't notice was his tail wrapped around her "umm Cat is your tail trying to tell us something? " Marinette asked and Cat Noir turned a bright red and tried to pull his tail off of her but his tail wouldn't budge, "hey stop, " Marinette couldn't help herself she burst out laughing at the sight of her boyfriend pulling on his tail. "Its not funny, " Cat Noir said still very red, "yes it is and I think its cute that your tail wouldn't let me go, " Marinette laughed "your so cruel to me princess, " Cat Noir said pretending to be hurt. "Hush kitty, your ruining our moment. " Marinette said smiling, "oh by the why I have something for you, " "for me? " Marinette asked "princess did you forget you're turning fourteen tomorrow? " Cat Noir said smirking "oh my gosh I did, is it really my birthday tomorrow it feels like I just had my last one. " Marinette exclaimed as she stood up, "your right I thought I told you to stop getting older, " Cat Noir said teasing her "oh come on your still older then me kitty, your practically an old man. " Marinette said teasing him back "old man you say, well this old man is going to get you princess. " Cat Noir said playfully trying to grab her and Marinette ran back into room laughing but Cat Noir wasn't far behind, and pinned her onto her bed. "Still think I'm old princess? " He asked playfully "no I'm sorry, " Marinette said laughing but then she yawned. "Oh how can I be tired already its only.. " Marinette looked at her phone and saw it was almost eleven "oh its late, " she said "get some sleep princess, that's an order. " Cat Noir said giving her a kiss on the check and then walking back onto the balcony. Marinette was out like a light minutes later, at least that's what he thought.

Cat Noir felt a sharp pain in his chest, and coughed as he just sat in the dark thinking. "You don't sound too good kid, " Plagg commented from inside his Miraculous "thanks Plagg, I guess I'm going to have to get used to that. " Cat Noir said "its only going to get worse as the days go on, I really think your missing the part about how this will kill you in the end" Plagg said once again trying to convince Cat Noir to leave and follow Guardian rules, but like always he refused. "I'm not missing that part, I'm staying because I love her. " "Are you at least going to tell her the truth? " Plagg asked "no if she knew, she would make me leave. Marinette can't know that every day after today, I will slowly be dying. "
"This will hurt her so much kid, " Plagg commented "I know it will and I hate that she will have to witness it, but I can't leave her. " Cat Noir declared,

Marinette was having a hard time sleeping that night but she wasn't sure if was because of what happened at school or because she was nervous about tomorrow. So she got up took her pigtails out so she would be more comfortable but then she heard someone talking with Cat Noir. She knew it was rude to easedrop on him but she couldn't help it, so quietly went to her balcony door and overheard Cat Noir's discussion with Plagg. Her heart broke when she heard Cat Noir say that he was slowly going to die by staying with her for too long, why would he stay if that was the case. Also why didn't he tell her, that he needed to leave at some point. She was so focused on all the unanswered questions that she knocked something near her over, "what was that? " Cat Noir asked coming into the bedroom "princess what are you doing out of bed? " He asked "I um... I couldn't sleep so I wanted to come out and see you, " she lied "we're you spying on me?" He asked not totally believing her story.
"No I was just lonely and wanted to see you, " She lied again "if you say so but you really should go back to sleep, you have a big day tomorrow.
