"Happy birthday girl! " Alya yelled trapping her bff in a tight hug "thanks.. and I kinda need to breathe, " Marinette huffed and Alya let her go. "Sorry girl, hey what's with the long face its your birthday and you should be smiling. " Alya commented noticing that Marinette hadn't even cracked a smile "sorry I've just in a bit of a dilemma right now, someone I care about is going to get really sick if they stay with me but he won't leave because he dosen't want to hurt me and I don't want to lose him but either way I lose. " Marinette explained "oh my goodness girl I'm so sorry, who is getting sick someone in your family? " Alya asked giving her friend a comforting hug, "no a longtime friend of mine if he dosen't leave and get the proper care he needs for his illness he's not going to have that much more time with me but he won't go because he dosen't want to leave me. " Marinette explained and even though part of it was a lie, it felt good to get her feelings out. "Oh girl I don't really have a clue of what to do in a situation but I must ask do you love him? " Alya asked "yes I do and I don't want him to leave but I also don't want to watch him die. " "Well love means sacrifice, I think he wants to spend his last moments with you because he loves you too. " Marinette almost fell over when the realization hit her like a train, Alya was right. Cat Noir was putting his own life on the line just he could spend as much as he could with her, because he loved her. She wiped a stray tear from her eye "thanks Alya I don't know what I'd do without you, " Marinette said sniffling and then getting a hold of herself. "Hey I know what will you cheer you up, I'm inviting all of the girls to my place tonight we can have a girls night. I'm sure your parents wouldn't mind at all, " Alya suggested and Marinette liked that idea, having a fun night with her friends really would cheer up. "Wow by the way who gave you that beautiful rose necklace, it really brings out your eyes. " Alya pointed out and Marinette blushed, early this morning Cat Noir had given her his birthday present and she honestly felt very attached to it.

She felt bad for lying to him about why she was upset last night but maybe she didn't need too. He would figure her out eventually he always did, "it was a gift for the friend I was telling you about, " she admitted "girl to me he's more like your boyfriend, wait a second he is your secret boyfriend? " Alya asked now very interested in finding out more about this boy but then the bell rang which meant they had to get to class. "You still have to tell me about him tonight, " Alya said and Marinette smiled. Unknown to the two girls Felix was listening to their conversation and wasn't to happy about some guy giving his crush a fancy necklace like that. A necklace that fancy meant the guy was very in love with her and Marinette seemed to feel the same way. He clenched his fists as he thought about some other guy being with his girl, Marinette belonged to him not any other guy, and if he needed to keep his competition out of the way permently. He would, because he always got what he wanted and he wanted Marinette.
