Chapter fourteen: New beginnings

"Has there been any news on Marinette? " Alya asked through her cellphone, ever since Marinette hadn't come home her parents had called the police, and right now she was talking to Officer Roger for the third time in the past hour, hopeful that they at least had something "miss I promise you will the first to know after her parents if we find anything, now please don't call us again you should only call us if you have an emergency. " Roger said and then he hung up, Alya sighed a wiped a tear from her eye, suddenly a red blur went past her and she opened it to see what is was. What she saw shocked her greatly, it was Marinette only she looked a lot different, and she was swinging from building to building with a yo-yo. She landed on the fire escape and waved,
"Hey Alya, not sure if you can see me but I want you to know that your the best bff in the world and I'm alright. " "what Marinette I mean huh... I'm totally posting this, " Alya said taking a picture with her phone "its Ladybug actually and I probably won't show up on your phone, I'm a Guardian now. " Ladybug said "wait does that mean we can't see eachother anymore? " Alya asked sadly "yes and no, I come by to see you when I can, but I can't exactly go to school when I'm basically invisible. " Ladybug stated and Alya nodded understanding "I'm going to miss you, " Alya said wiping a tear from her face "I am too, but don't cry because than I'll start crying plus I'll come back to visit you and the girls as much as I can. Can't promise how often it will be, I have to protect all of the children of the world. " Ladybug stated and Alya let out a laugh "well if anyone can do that its you, I believe in you Ladybug. " Alya proudly said "Alya who are you talking too? " Her twin sisters asked as they ran into her room, "Ladybug can't you see her? " Alya asked "no, " they replied in unison "well you come and play with us?" They said pulling on Alya's arms "sure just give me a second, I'm saying goodbye to Ladybug. " Alya said and Ladybug laughed at this, "bye Alya and make sure too tell my parents that I love them. " Ladybug said and Alya nodded, Ladybug then swung off until she came across Cat Noir sitting on her balcony humming to himself.
"Hey bugaboo, " Cat Noir said as she sat next to him, "you came up with that just now? " Ladybug teased "yes and I find it quite cute, " Cat Noir said pretending to be hurt but Ladybug just shushed him . "Your such a dork,  " she told him "but I'm your dork," Cat Noir said giving her his Cheshire grin "oh what am I going to do with you? " She laughed "oh I don't know love me for all eternity, " he said getting closer to her "we'll see, " she joked and then kissed him.  However then a thought crossed her mind, how was she going to tell her parents and her other friends that she was alright. Alya being able to see her was probably just luck, no one else would be able to see her until she found a child that needed her. "You okay? " Cat Noir asked noticing the change in her expression, "its just how am I supposed to tell my parents that I'm a Guardian now if they can't see me? " She asked sadly, she felt bad because she thought that the question might hurt his feelings, "well give them a sign your okay, its what I did with my mom. " He explained "how? " She asked "when I become Cat Noir and I realized no one could see me, I placed one of my personal items into the mouth of my's family cat and when my mom saw it she made the connection. " Cat Noir said taking her hands and helping her stand up, "your a genius kitty, " Ladybug said beaming up at him "I guess you can say I have my moments bugaboo, " he said kissing her hand "I think I preferred the nickname princess, " Ladybug said teasing him "you will have to get used to it because your going to be stuck with me forever. " Cat Noir said, "I know and I'm okay with that, "
