"Elliana, can we go?" Esther whined, leaning against the clothes
"Esther, Dad is taking us out to eat for his birthday, so we have to be prefect," Elliana stated, looking through dresses
"Elliana, it's just his birthday, so why does it matter that we have to dress 'prefect?" Esther said, quoting perfect
"Did you even hear dad talking about the dinner?"
"Maybe yes, maybe no," Esther said, looking away
"Esther...,"
"Hey, in my defense, I was tired and I thought he would cancel it since we always ate at Joe's and eat cake back at home," Esther explained
"Well, we're going out tonight, so pick a dress or outfit you like and will wear," Elliana pointed out, eyeing Esther
"Ugh, fine then," Esther groan, walking off to look at dresses
Esther looked around, grabbing a dress from the rack and putting it against her body to see how it looked into the mirror on her, but she put it back. Esther looked where Elliana was at, but didn't see her. Esther left the spot she was at and went to look for Elliana. She found Elliana, but froze when she heard whispering.
"Look at her. What is she wearing? Is she a commoner? Why is she here?"
"Esther! Did you find anything?" Elliana ran over to Esther
"Oh, um, no. I couldn't find anything," Esther said, still stuck on the whispers
"Come on, let's find you something. You need to look beautiful than all the women in the room," Elliana said, intertwining her arm with Esther's
"Well, your gonna need magic for that," Esther giggled
"We won't need that. Now, let's find that dress,"
-------"Uh, Elliana. I need help," Esther said, walking out of the fitting room
"Wow...," Elliana said, stunned, "You look beautiful,"
"Are you saying I haven't been beautiful my whole life?" Esther joked, trying to calm herself down
"Esther, I'm being honest. You look so beautiful that I'm ashamed that you don't wear dresses like these," Elliana pouted, examining Esther
"I never wanted to be the center of attention and this dress is pretty, but-,"
"Hey, you like it. I like it. Everyone likes it even you'll be matching with me," Elliana clapped happily
"I don-"
"Esther, please don't think negative. You look beautiful in this. This entire outfit calls out your name. Sure, it's scary trying on new clothes that you like and you look perfect in, but in the end, you love it. So, please, don't overthink it and get it," Elliana grabbed Esther's hands, pleading
"Okay, I'll get it, but no more trying on other dresses," Esther said, smiling
"You got it, but you have to try on the clothes I make since you're my model, okay," Elliana complied
"Okay. Now I'm gonna change,"
Esther got changed and exited the fitting room to find Elliana talking to the worker.
"Hey, I'm ready," Esther bumped her arm into Elliana
"Okay, but one day, we should add new clothes to your closet," Eliana recommend once she saw Esther's outfit
"What's wrong with it? Its comfy, flowy, not too tight, and long. I even followed your advice and tighten it with a belt," Esther said, looking down at her dress
"I'm not saying it's bad. It never hurts to add new outfits that you never wore before," Elliana said, walking to the cashier
"I know, but I'm so attach to the dresses I have now even I don't go out too often and if I do, I just wear these since I'm always at the cafe," Esther said, shrugging
"Well, that's going to change," Elliana paid for the clothes
---------"Dad, you are going to be shocked when you see Esther, but for now, keep your eyes closed," Elliana commanded, looking into the stairway
Esther stood at the top, dressed in her outfit.
"Come on down, Esther," Elliana motioned her
Esther let out a shaky breath and walked down the steps, her heels clacking against the wood.
"Wait, why do I hear heels? Esther rarely wear heels," Nathaniel said, shocked
"Well be prepared," Elliana kept Nathaniel in place and nudged him when Esther stood at the bottom of the stairs, "It's time to open your eyes,"
Nathaniel took his hands off his face and let out a wow once he saw Esther.
"Is that a good wow? Or a bad wow?" Esther asked, tightening her grip on her purse
"You look amazing, Esther. I'm kinda glad you don't wear these outfits often because if you did, I would have to scare off so many boys," Nathaniel said, smiling at Esther
"Well, that's a good thing even what about Elliana's outfit. Do you like it? Even your going to have to fight boys away from her," Esther said, tilting her head to Elliana
"Elliana, always cease to amaze me, but she looks beautiful in any clothes and so do you, Esther. And to answer you question on boys coming onto your sister, Jackson will be there," Nathaniel said, looking at his watch, "And he should be here any minute,"
Right at that moment, the door open and in came Jackson.
"Sorry for.... being late. I had...a little family problem, but I'm here. Oh... and happy birthday....Sir Nathaniel," Jackson said, out of breath, but handed Nathaniel a box
"Oh, Jackson, you didn't need to do that," Nathaniel said, grabbing the box
"No, it's the least I can do since your inviting me to this dinner," Jackson said, lightly patting his sweat away with handkerchief
"Well, thank you. I'll open this once we get back home," Nathaniel said, walking to the counters
"So, how are you today, brother-in-law?" Esther asked, tilting her head
"I'm great, but I'm shocked your wearing something formal," Jackson said, "But, you look great,"
"Thanks. I rarely wear these kind of outfits, I only worn them on special occasions and when I was young," Esther said, fixing her sleeves
"Are we set?" Nathaniel asked, clapping his hands
"Wait. I still haven't complimented Elliana's outift," Jackson said, looking at Elliana, "Elliana, you look very beautiful today even I'm shocked that you and Esther are wearing the same color. Overall, the both of you look beautiful, but Elliana is the most beautiful in the room,"
"Okay, okay. That's enough. Let's go," Nathaniel butt in, grabbing Elliana's arm and pulling her to the door
Esther let out a laugh and pulled Jackson along.
